Title: Upgrade Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04 for zentyal 5.1

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to clear millions of vulnerabilities on Ubuntu 16.04 by update to 20.04. Just want to make sure that after upgrade, zentyal version 5.1 is still runable? can anyone confirm for me please.

Hi,

You cannot upgrade Ubuntu and keep your current Zentyal 5.1 version. Keep in mind that Zentyal needs a specific version of Ubuntu to work, for instance:

- Zentyal 6.x → Ubuntu 18.04
- Zentyal 7.x → Ubuntu 20.04

So, if you want to upgrade Ubuntu, you must use the script ‘/usr/share/zentyal/release-upgrade’ provided by Zentyal.

Many thanks for your reply, but now I have to do with the vulnerabilities myself.

I sent support request to zentyal and ask about this so many times, also how to upgrade my licenses, no one reply. This is a dead product.
