Hello,

I do the tests above:

cd /usr/share/ebox-usersandgroups
./ebox-ad-sync   [ok]
./ebox-pwdsync-server   [ok]

And try "telnet <ip ebox> 6677" using the Windows 2003 Server... In the /var/log/ebox/ebox.log i can see:

The AD-SYNC is ok... If I create a new user in Windows 2003, this user is transfered to eBox... But when i change de password in 2003, the password isn't transfered... I'm using password without simbols like "!", "@", etc...

Some of you can help me?

A versão 1.5 é instável... Se vc deseja ver as coisas funcionando deve usar a versão 1.4... Na 1.4 jamais experimentei este tipo de erro no módulo VPN...

Eu concordo com você... Se vai usar ASP, instale no Windows... Acho que instalar ASP em servidor Linux é gambiarra... Já se for usar PHP, acho que é melhor usar Linux... Acho que devemos preservar cada macaco no seu galho...

Isto também me incomoda... Conversando com o J. A. Calvo, um dos lideres do projeto, ele me informou há algum tempo atrás que estavam trabalhando para corrigir estas mensagens de warning e restart de serviços que aparecem quando a gente reiniciar alguns módulos através do /etc/init.d/ebox <module> restart...

Olá Andre,

Quando você está usando IP fixo é mais complicado... Pra funcionar, vc precisará colocar o servidor web em um segmento de rede (placa de rede) diferente do segmento de rede (placa de rede) dos usuários internos... E ai você cria um redirecionamento para quem vem de fora e um outro, diferente, para quem vem de dentro...

Uma outra alternativa é você usar o proxy do Apache... Mas, sinceramente, acho que o melhor a fazer é criar um hostname para este IP, ai tudo fica mais simples... Você pode até deixar quem está na Internet continuar usando o IP e informar para os usuários internos um hostname...

Olá André,

Este é um problema que ocorre quando o site web e as máquinas que irão consultá-lo estão no mesmo segmento de rede... A forma mais fácil de contornar isto é criar uma "view" no seu servidor DNS, de forma que o Bind comece a informar o IP interno para as máquinas da rede interna e o IP válido na internet para as máquinas externas...

PS: Para criar "views" no eBox vc terá que editar o  "/usr/share/ebox/stubs/dns/named.conf.mas"...

Hi,

I have actually a box with 2 fixed ip pppoe connections... I'm using ebox-openvpn version 1.4.2-0ubuntu1~ppa1~hardy1...

PPP interfaces do not appear on the web interface ... To work, if I check the interface under which the tunnel is PPPOE, the VPN works... But if I left the option "All Interfaces" marked the VPN connection isn't stable (intermittent)...

Hi Tama,

Verify:

- If you have the simbolic link "000-default -> /etc/apache2/sites-available/default" inside "/etc/apache2/sites-enabled"
- If you have the simbolic links "php5.conf -> ../mods-available/php5.conf" and "php5.load -> ../mods-available/php5.load" inside "/etc/apache2/mods-enabled"

After create this links, try run:

- ebox apache restart
- ebox webserver restart

Clean your browser cache and try access "http://<internal-ip>/webmail" again...

I'm using eBox with NTLM authentication... To do this, you need:

1) edit the file /usr/share/ebox/stubs/squid/squid.conf.mas and change de lines:

auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/ldap_auth -v 3 -b  ou=Users,<% $dn %>  -u uid  -h ldap://127.0.0.1:<% $ldapport %>

acl authorized  proxy_auth required

To:

#auth_param basic realm eBox HTTP proxy
#auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/ldap_auth -v 3 -b  ou=Users,<% $dn %>  -u uid  -h ldap://127.0.0.1:<% $ldapport %>
auth_param ntlm program /usr/lib/squid/ntlm_auth -b -d domain.local/server_name
auth_param ntlm children 50

acl authorized  proxy_auth required

Where your domain is "domain.local" and your server_name is "server_name"... If necessary, add "server_name" in your /etc/hosts files...

- after run /etc/init.d/ebox squid restart to generate the /etc/squid.conf file and restart the squid....

2) make a logon in your windows desktop against you windows server active directory and call the Firefox or Internet Explorer with the proxy turned on...

After this 2 steps, the users can connect without inform user and password... Try if this will work for you... If it work i can send you more tips for fix the problems with logs and suggest some things to create diferent groups...
