Title: Allow users to use the group address
Post by: marius_siuram on February 24, 2016, 03:35:40 pm
I have been (unsuccessfully) looking for a way to allow my users to use the "group" address. My situation:

  - Group "G" (g@domain.tld)
  - User A in group "G"

User A tries to send an email with the "mail from:<g@domain.tld>". The server replies "Sender address rejected: not owned by user".

I could completely disable the restrictions at the Postfix level, but this seems overkill, and our scenario doesn't allow it. Is there a "correct way" to achieve this? For instance, the User A should be able to send mail from g@domain.tld but not from h@domain.tld
