Installation and Upgrades / Re: Zarafa iCal

I of course removed the connection and didn't document it but take a look at this page:

easydor - there seemed to be a number of different zarafa processes and just restarting zarafa-ical didn't get everything going. I needed to reboot Zentyal (after the ical.conf change to start ical) and was then able to connect from OS X. And your port 8080 is open?

I haven't tried it with Win7 Ultimate however on previous XP installations I had to use the user name "root" with the an administrator's password. Doesn't seem to make sense because the root account is locked in Ubuntu, but it made Windows happy.

Installation and Upgrades / Cloud Client "not running" after upgrade
« on: October 26, 2010, 02:51:41 am »
After upgrading Zentyal (latest update to 2.0.6), I continually receive this error notice:

error : The following modules are not running but they are enabled: Zentyal Cloud Client

even though it shows as Connected on the Dashboard and I can connect to the server from the Cloud website. I don't see where the Cloud Client can be restarted or if it's even considered a separate module at all. The only way I can prevent getting this error every 60 seconds is to delete the subscription data and re-subscribe. Anyone else getting this error?

Installation and Upgrades / 2.0.2 Update Issues
« on: September 24, 2010, 05:49:31 pm »
Performed an update from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 and now HTTP Proxy, User Corner, Web Server and Cloud Client do not start after reboot. I can manually start them from the Dashboard, however their isn't a "restart" for the Cloud Client and the Dashboard shows "Zentyal Cloud Connected". I'm running Zentyal 2.0.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit. Didn't have these issues on 2.0.1. Anyone else experience this?

News and Announcements / Re: Zentyal 2.0 released!

Absolutely fantastic; congratulations everyone! I've just done a fresh install of Zentyal 2.0 on 64bit Lucid and it seems all of the little bugs have been worked out as everything (so far) has been extremely smooth. Party tonight but get some sleep!

That's what I figured but I couldn't remember where the Zentyal templates where. Thanks!

However I'm wondering why if the Zarafa module is enabled, why isn't zarafa-ical started and set to auto-start? This shouldn't be something we need to do by hand.

Installation and Upgrades / Zarafa iCal
« on: August 28, 2010, 10:35:11 pm »
Testing Zarafa integration; web interface working properly however zarafa-ical does not automatically start. I changed the line "ical_enable = no" in /etc/zarafa/ical.conf to "ical_enable = yes", restarted zarafa-ical and now I can access it via Mac iCal client. However, upon reboot or system update, the line is reverted back to "no" and I lose iCal connection. Is there another place I should be setting Zarafa iCal to auto-start?

Is the Zarafa module available in 1.5.14 or do we need to reinstall with the 2.0 installer?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: SSH access with LDAP Account

My pleasure; if the Web Server Module isn't already activated, go ahead and enable it in the Module Status Configuration screen. Log in to a shell session and install phpLDAPadmin

sudo apt-get install phpldapadmin

In the eBox UI, go to Office > Users & Groups > LDAP Settings

Check "Enable PAM" if you want *new* accounts to have shell access; click Change and return to the LDAP Settings screen.

Back at the console, edit /etc/phpldapadmin/config.php
Edit Line 283, replace 'dc=example,dc=com' with the Base DN from LDAP Settings

Edit Line 306, replace 'cn=Manager,dc=example,dc=com' with Root DN from LDAP Settings

Save config.php, restart Apache

Open a browser and go to http://eboxIPAddress/phpldapadmin

Log in with the Password from LDAP Settings

Your DC should be listed in the left window, click the "+" to expand it and get to the OUs for editing. I always used the "Default" template when given a choice.

You can double check to make sure the settings are what you want by running 'sudo slapcat' at the console and checking the User entries have the right values.

This was done on Lucid x86_64.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: SSH access with LDAP Account

Thanks for the link; I ended up installing phpLDAPadmin to edit the User record and set the login_shell. What I'd like to see is a Login Shell option in the Users settings. Maybe if I have time this weekend I'll muck about with the UI.

I have "Enable PAM" checked, rebooted however when I try to log in with an LDAP user credentials, it logs in but immediately logs out. I set "login_shell = /bin/bash" in /etc/ebox/80users.conf. Any NEW users will get "loginShell: /bin/bash" in the LDAP setting, but how do I set the loginShell for EXISTING users?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: eBox 1.5: no access to user corner

gwoollett,
You need to use the full email address in your fetchmailrc config file. Here's an snip of my working config file that gets the mail and delivers to a virtual account (account only exists in LDAP) with the domain ebox.home.office

poll mail.comcast.net
        proto pop3
        user "mparic"
        pass "password"
        is mparic@home.office
        nokeep
        fetchall
        ssl

Other than letting the Users change their own passwords, the only other functionality I needed from  User Corner was creating external email account retrieval entries. Fortunately eBox just uses fetchmail for this so to get around the User Corner access issue I simply disabled User Corner, copied /etc/ebox-fetchmail.rc to /etc/fetchmailrc, entered the appropriate external account entries (found http://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/mail-fetchmail.html helpful), then started the fetchmail daemon by setting START_DAEMON=yes in /etc/default/fetchmail and 'sudo /etc/init.d/fetchmail start'. Would be a bit cumbersome for many accounts but could get you up and running until User Corner is fixed.

What module was "forced reinstallation"? I'm running into the same "Internal Server Error" and found permission errors when user-corner tried to write to /var/lib/ebox/tmp. I changed the permissions in the tmp file to allow the ebox-usercorner user to write however now I'm getting the error:

[Sat Aug 07 00:15:52 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.150] /usr/bin/sudo -p sudo: /var/lib/ebox/tmp/OCCgHQKNCr.cmd 2> /var/lib/ebox/tmp/stderr raised the following sudo error: sudo: no tty present and no askpass program specified\n, referer: https://ebox.home.office:8888/
