Installation and Upgrades / Re: Zentyal 4.x 32 bit install iso ?
« on: November 15, 2014, 06:27:49 am »
I installed 32 Bit zentyal 3.5 und upgrade to 4. BUT zentyal 3.5 or 4 has big samba 4 problems. If I sync my outlook 2010 initial, samba crashed all the time. See the bug tracker and realize: zentyal with samba 4 is very very unstable.

Now I sync with to good old 3.3 and Zarafa with the outlook connector - IT WORKS. MS SBS 2008 costs 300€ on ebay - But its to exepensive for home office.

I am disappointed of zentyal 3.5 / 4 and/or about the beta stage of samba 4.

Denke so - ok - Einzefall.

I saw a dead link to a MD5 32-Bit Zentyal 4.0 iso under:
http://www.zentyal.org/server/

I hope there will be a 32 Bit Version because my older home esxi Server with atom-cpu seams not to support 64 Bit Software / OS.

Hi,

my /usr/share/zentyal/redisvi seams not to have the 'upgrade: 1' entry:

Code: [Select]
someone@zentyal:~$ cat /usr/share/zentyal/redisvi
#!/usr/bin/perl
...
# Foundation, Inc., 59 Temple Place, Suite 330, Boston, MA  02111-1307  USA

use warnings;
use strict;

use EBox;
use EBox::Config::Redis;
use EBox::Sudo;
use Error qw(:try);

my $dir = '';

if ($ARGV[0]) {
    $dir = $ARGV[0];
}

my $editor = 'vi';

if (defined $ENV{VISUAL}) {
    $editor = $ENV{VISUAL};
} elsif (defined $ENV{EDITOR}) {
    $editor = $ENV{EDITOR};
}

EBox::init();

my $redis = EBox::Config::Redis->instance();

my $dumpfile = "/var/lib/zentyal/conf/redisvi-dump-$$";

$redis->export_dir_to_file($dir, $dumpfile, 1);
system("cp $dumpfile $dumpfile.orig");

system("$editor $dumpfile");

system("diff $dumpfile.orig $dumpfile");

if ($? == 0) {
    print "Not modified.\n";
} else {
    $redis->delete_dir($dir);
    try {
        $redis->import_dir_from_file($dumpfile);
    } otherwise {
        print "Import of modifications failed, restoring the original...\n";
        $redis->delete_dir($dir);
        $redis->import_dir_from_file("$dumpfile.orig");
    };
}

unlink $dumpfile;
unlink "$dumpfile.orig";

Ok - than there it seams, that for 3.2 is actually no openssl update available. After apt-get update, apt-get upgrade:

openssl version
OpenSSL 1.0.1 14 Mar 2012

Hi,

I want to upgrade from 3.2 to 3.3. There was a long time ago a button - but I cant find it any more. In the wiki I could not find a non-webgui way to upgrade to 3.3.

How can I bring back this "Update Button" in the Web-Gui ?

thanks
Michael

Hi,

will this update be installed via the WebInterface-Update (until now there is no update (Zentyal 3.2)) or must it installed manually ?

best regards
Michael
