YOU dont understand the answer given.. IF you choose the expert install, you can choose how to partition the drives, and manually select Format for partitions, or not select Format for it.

So No, if you tell Zentyal not to touch your /home folder, it will not.

To be more exact.
The "old" version, NT* and XP use username to store their roaming profiles, whereas Vista and windows 7 use .V2
This is, as said above, due to the design of roaming profile implementation

>Did you install a Certification Authority Certificate for your server?
Yes, this is mandatory if you want to run a VPN (?)

>Did you create a certificate to use to set up the VPN?
this happens automaticly, so yes ;)

>How did you configure your VPN server?
serverport: UDP/1194
VPN adress: 192.168.160.0/24
Server certificate: vpn-hq
Client authorization by common name: disabled
Network Adress Translation: ticked
Allow client-to-client connections: ticked
Allow Zentyal-to-Zentyal tunnels: unticked
Interface to listen: eth1 (external)

This is all standard settings.

> What is/are your advertised network(s)
10.0.0.0/24

> Can you download the client bundle?

Installation and Upgrades / can't get VPN to work :(

I have setup a VPN server, precisely following the Zentyal books and docs, but i can't get it to work :(
At first i figured it wouldf be a client problem, but ive tested it on both linux, windows and even a mac.
On windows i get the following error from the VPN client:
The firewall is complete;ly disabled on the client (for testing) and i manually added the ports on the zentyal server.
I browsed the forum a bit, but i seem to find nothing to relate to this problem?
Perhaps anyone can tell what im doing wrong?

try adding skype to the traffic shaping module.. maybe that helps?

have you correctly set the ports in your firewall?
i think *i'm not sure* you can configure sklype to use specific ports no?

I would imagine, the dropping of conenctions could be due to the firewall dropping the packets, but i can't say for sure this is the case.
read the firewall logs, see if those turn up anything?

i fail to see the "private" parts of our messages..
as it stands, support IS a big topic on these forums, but i'd like to know what ichat defines as support, and how that woul,d integrate into a similar project like the aibox

These are verry valid and open questions that others might have an opinion about as well.
