Installation and Upgrades / Backup slow

Hey,

We're trying to take a backup (+/- 40GB) of our system, but this takes ages (after 20hours no luck).
We're seeing now also that the system (admin page and so) starts to begin slow down. It takes about 10minutes before the server is boot up. The server recieve a power-off each night.
I think that there's a backup running on the background that messes up everything. Is this possible after a reboot?

The system is a 3.6Ghz, 3GB memory, 2x500GB Disk SATA...

Any idea what i can do to improve anything?

Hey,

I'v noticed that when i create a group (with folder), that everybody can create, open & change the files. But you can't delete a file from somebody else?
Is there a way to give more 'advance' security to the groups?

Like i would like that everybody can do everything (also deleting) in a common folder...

Hey,

What i can't make up of the documentation, is how you can connect with a client PC (fe winXP) towards an eBOX server over the internet.

This is the 'setup':
Client1 / Client2 <-> eBOX <-> internet <-> Client3

Client 3 is located fe at home.
I like to connect with Client3 towards the eBOX to get my data over here.
Do I need a special client VPN software on Client 3?
Do i connect towards a public IP, or can i use tools like DynDNS?
...

Hey,

I've got a machine with 2 internal Hard disks (250GB and 750GB).
I now want that some share folders (users & images) are devided over the different disks. Let's say the users on the 250 disk, and the images on the 750 disk.

Is this hard to do or ...?
