Hi!

I am trying to install the eBox onto Debian40-r3 (I cannot use the standart installer because of hardware issues). And I get an error related with dependencies:
ebox-software: Depends: esofttool (>=0.4)

The esofttool is from eBox set of packages but it could not be installed because of other dependency:
esofttool: Depends: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5-3.3

Could you advise where I can get this package? I haven't found it on the any repository and as separate package.

Thank you.

Installation and Upgrades / NIC is not visible for eBox
« on: February 27, 2008, 04:05:29 pm »
Hello,

I have copied this message from this topic: http://forum.eboxplatform.com/index.php?topic=160.0
Maybe someone who can help did not see it :)

I have the following trouble: the eBox does not see my second NIC. The first card is connected to WAN and has the eth1 interface, the second is conected to the LAN. At installation a system has found the both NICs and suggested to use the one of them as general. But now (after installation and installation eBox packages) it does not see the second card - eth0.

The ifconfig gives me the following:
eth1 ....
lo ...

The eth0 is absent here. The found card (that works normally [eth1]) is Realtec NIC.
The second card is VIA technologies (biult-in NIC) and it is not seen.

Could it be caused driver issues? Does a some way exist to enforce the system to see the second NIC (it has been found at installation)?

Thank you.

Installation and Upgrades / Does the E-Box work with SATA drives?
« on: February 26, 2008, 11:39:38 am »
Hello Guys,

Does the E-Box work with a SATA HDD normally? I have a problem with E-Box installation: it says that the hard drive is not found.
My motherboard is Foxconn P4M9007MB (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN-US/product/Motherboards/detail_overview.aspx?ID=en-gb0000221) and SATA HDD is Hitachi HDS721680PLA380 (http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/7k160/7k160.htm).

Could you please get any advice?

BTW, I have tried to install PFSense before (http://www.pfsense.com/). It is a FreeBSD based filrewall. Could it be a cause of problem (maybe it had made geometry of HDD reconfiguration).
I have formatted and converted a file system many times to different types (FAT, etx2, ext3, etc).
Also I have tried to install Windows XP and Suse Linux 10.3 and thay are installed successfully, but E-Box is not.

Thanks a lot.
