Installation and Upgrades / problems during install on xserver 345 with ati radeon 7000M

Hello Zentyal community,
I've instaled Zentyal 2 last stable 32 bit on a ibm xserver 345 (8670-5AG) for testing.
I think this machine have an onboard ati radeon 7000M with 16Mb attached, also a planar from the serveraid 5i
after setup completes, on the first boot the video output freezed with artifacts (and I think machine hangs, since I'm not able to change to de system console) then after a minute or less the system reboot and hangs up completely.
strange thing, because after that I've installed the 32 bit ubuntu lucid server distribution (even with the console on a different unusual graphics mode), also tried to install hardy without any problem, and then, after some tests checking for hardware problems also instaled w2k3 server without problem.
I've tried a couple times more the zentyal 2 instalation on other modes without success.
unfortunately I dind't boot up again with a live cd to make a copy of the file logs.
since it seams to be a X graphics driver problem, any tip to workaround this?
any community member as experience with this kind of systems?

Its really great news that Zentyal Desktop alpha version has been released. But you said that it will support only GNOME environment, where as Ubuntu is dropping GNOME and going for Unity.

I hope and request atleast Zentyal Desktop should (will) work with Unity, as we all planned to load ubuntu at all our clients in future also.
