Installation and Upgrades / gui login fail after command line install

after installing zentyal by apt-get in a vps i cannot login via gui

i tried admin/admin , zentyal, zentyal, ebox/ebox , admin/password, admin/zentyal, root/zentyal, local root password

maked new user and added to admin group, nothing works.

what is the default password for a apt-get installation?

ok, now i can log with windows 7 clients. but now i have another problem.

i need administrator rights for my users, they myst be able to install o remove programs.

all user in ebox have "Administration Rights" checked but work only for join domain, not for windows administrator...

any idea?

i have always the error "Trust Relationship Between Workstation and Domain Fails" , also with ebox 1.3.1-2 and samba update

vaine, how you have configured w7  clients to log pdc? actualy i have applied all registry hacks but i recive allways "Trust Relationship Between Workstation and Domain Fails" . also with last version of samba

update:

i've removed all registry entries of samba hack. then i redownloaded and reapplied. now i can log in domain but when i reboot i recive error:

"The Trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed"

tnx for help but windows 7 not join domain

im using a w7 rtm "Microsoft Windows [Versione 6.1.7600]"
i've rebooted server after upgrade. netbios is "ebox" and domain "dmebox"
ebox run into a vmware machine for testing

xp clients works well

samba:

when i try to join  domain with a windows 7 client to a clean ebox 1.3.1-2 installation windows says: "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted" after asking me user and password

i've created user with pdc admin rights
i've made all updates

install require ebox install cd after linux installation and before ebox installer. (cd is inside cdrom)

if i rebot ebox start download packages form internet but fail install

in tmp/ebox-installer.log i see that installer cannot find dahdi-modules-2.6.24-24-l7filter

That's right, dahdi-modules is only on the CD, we'll try to fix it soon and upload it to the ppa compiled for a newer version of the kernel.

But I don't know why the installer can't find your cd-rom. After the first stage of the installation the cd-rom is automatically ejected. When the installer asks you for it, you should insert it again. (usually it asks for it twice). Do you get any error? Are you using a real machine or a virtual one?

i use different names for netbios and domain. i installed ebox from iso in vmware virtualpc for testing.

i also tried to update all pacages but no change...


now i try to reinstall all

hi all

im tring ebox 1.2 . very nice and simple but i have a problem. when i join domain with a xp pro clent i have error

"a device attached to the system is not functioning"

i've tried also clarkconnet solution and work well, so i dont know where i fail with ebox....
