Installation and Upgrades / Help/Ideas to ADD HDD in a software raid (1) for file sharing

Quick history and what issues we have now:
When our Windows server 2003 crashed I decided to switch to Zentyal to run the domain and Freenas for our files. Because I had to use older PCs I made 3 Zentyal servers to make sure the domain would always be up if one crashed. Most of the time everything works great, but at times some workstations can loose their log in to the raid on the FreeNas when accessing with the host name. They can access fine with the IP if the NAS but need to reboot to get access back. I need to stop or minimize this problem so my thoughts are to move the file storage to a 4th Zentyal. I now have this server (domain4) running, I see all users and groups just as expected and it is time to add the drives for the file shares. I have 4 3t drives I would like to make in to 2 raid1 drives. How the questions.
1) Is this going to fix my authentication issues?
2) How hard will it be in add a software raid to the box and be able to monitor the health

I need to be able to set conditional fwds as well.
We have a VPN to another huge company and need to send all calls for web.ABC.com to their DNS server (in fact we have a huge list to fwd).
Right now I am using a linux gateway that was setup before I started and I use vtysh to set them.
I'm not sure if I can use that on Zentyal and even if I can if the entries will stay with updates.
This seems like kinda a basic feature that is on every other gateway I have worked with
Any help?

I have lost webadmin access from my server. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Is there a way to force a backup from command line so I can do a fresh install and restore from the backup and hope the GUI comes back?

I had installed the new 4.0 update when it came out. But everything seemed to be working fine after that.
Is it possible to re-install over the top to save the settings, or can I force a backup from command line and just do a full reinstall?

It SEEMS only the webadmin is not working. I have SSH, desktop. DHCP and AD seem to be working fine.

I came in this morning and all 3 of my Zentyal boxes are not working on the web interface. I only get "Internal Server Error"
I have tried restarting webmin and rebooting the computers with no luck.
Any idea what I should try, sorry for being such a noob

« on: November 12, 2014, 04:06:17 pm »Removing that only hides the real error, it's not a proper fix.
Please we need the contents of /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log (and probably also /var/log/zentyal/error.log) to see the real error in order to diagnose it and fix it.
This has to be some corner case because in all our tests the upgrades have been successful.
Here is the logs from one of our servers with the issue. Hope it helps

I do have one issue I can not find the right answer for.
I have DNS setup and working good, it has my forward DNS set and working.
My issue is that we also have a VPN to another company(say ABC.com), when there is a DNS call for anything on the ABC.com domain we need to send the request to their DNS servers (say IP 12.34.56.78)
How do I set up conditional forwarders in Zentyal?

I have read a number of HOW-TO's here and on google for resizing when your /boot is full with no luck.
( I tried https://wiki.zentyal.org/wiki/Resize_Root_LVM_Partition )
My Df is now. I was able to shrink /dev/mapper/yDOMAIN--vg-root from 35G
I even booted to a linux live CD and tried to use gpartition and it would not let me move the boot to 1G
I have also tried the apt-get autoclean , clean, ect.
I would love any help. I am thinking it maybe just as easy dropping a bigger drive in and reinstalling from scratch as this is my domain backup server.. but I also have the issue on my main server so I need to find a fix

Well I found most of my issue. I rebooted the Zetyal server and I was able to connect for a few minutes. Then it just goes back to disconnected.
