The next Zentyal version, which should be quickly released,  will run on Ubuntu Focal, but it doesn't change your situation. Your system is broken.

Hi doncamilo,
is there any release date of the new Zentyal version?
We cannot stay on 18.04 for a long time.

Thank you!

As you can see, Users are shown in the right panel when the Users node is selected in the samba tree. It's a good user interface improvement IMHO.

So is it this a feature?
I don't think this is really an improvement: what the user node is for, if groups are listed into the groups node?

Hi,
after installing a new system or upgrading to Zentyal 6.2 I can use the Users and Computers module without any apparent problems, but no users are shown under the Users section even if they exists and even if the Users filter is enabled:

This (bug?) is confirmed on at least 4 installations of Zentyal 6.2: 1 upgrade and 3 new installations.

Am I making something wrong or is this a bug of the web interface?

Thank you very much!
Bye

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal CA and custom certificates
« on: October 05, 2018, 07:20:29 pm »
Hi.

I installed the Certification Authority module and I issued some certificates.
Now I want to use these certificates for my internal services and the Zentyal management web interface itself.

Could you help me to understand what I have to install where?

I want to trust my CA on my clients, so all services which will use my certificates will be trusted.

What certificates I have to install and trust on my clients?
And how I can use one of my issued certificates on the Zentyal management web interface?
On the page "https://doc.zentyal.org/en/ca.html" I read "you can replace them with others issued by your CA" but I think it's not clear how to do so.

Thank you very much!

Hi,
the following command on the existing Primary Domain Controller solved my problem:

Code: [Select]
samba-tool dbcheck --fix
Thanks!

Hi Denis,
i have the very same error, in a similar situation: DC1 upgraded to Zentyal 5, new DC2 on new Zentyal 5, try to add DC2 as additional domain controller, same error as you.

Did you manage in solve this problem?

Thanks!

Installation and Upgrades / Is Zentyal dead?
« on: September 14, 2016, 05:23:50 pm »
Hi,
Zentyal is a very good project, but it seems to be dead over the last few months.
The forum is rarely frequented, I don't see any new releases nor bugfixes on the tracker, and so on.
Is my impression real?
If not, please rassure us.
Thank you very much!

Installation and Upgrades / Authenticate systems on LDAP
« on: August 01, 2015, 10:59:51 pm »
Hi.

I installed Zentyal 4.1, I configured it as a domain controller and I created some users and groups.
Now I want to authenticate some external systems to the Zentyal users using LDAP, but I cannot find the bind password in Users - LDAP Settings.
I only found a dnpass in the /etc/dovecot/dovecot-ldap.conf and /var/lib/zentyal/conf/zentyal-mail-server-z1.passwd files but I cannot realize if it's what I'm looking for as it's explicitly referred to the mail features.

I also installed a second Zentyal 4.1 server and I configured it as an additional domain controller, and now it has the same users and group of the primary one, but I realize that that password is different, so I cannot authenticate users on both systems in case of a failover of the second servers over the primary one.

So the second question i have is:
if that is the password I'm looking for, how I can change it on the second Zentyal server making it the same of the first one?

Thank you very much for your support!

Installation and Upgrades / Radius support
« on: January 16, 2015, 12:35:17 pm »
Hi.
On Zentyal 4 the Radius module is removed, but I read that Zentyal team would make some documentation about how manually implement it on Zentyal 4.
I cannot find this howto, could you help me please?
Thank you very much!

Hi.

We have two offices connected with a VPN so I wish to install two Zentyal servers with a unique users database and in the same Active Directory domain, so the domain will be the same for both offices.
Having two servers I wish to use them as an HA installation, so in case of a disruption of one of the servers the office will connect to the other server.

Do you have any advises about the design and the configuration of the infrastructure?

Thank you very much!

Installation and Upgrades / Migrate from Zarafa to Openchange
« on: June 18, 2014, 12:19:01 am »
Hi.
How to migrate from Zarafa to Openchange?
I searched the web to an official doc about this but I did not find anything.
I think this is a trivial question as Zarafa was removed at 3.4...
Could you help me please?
Thank you very much.

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal slave server
« on: March 16, 2014, 08:44:37 pm »
Hi.
How I can have a completely replicated Zentyal server?
I wish it to work as a backup domain controller for another office connected in VPN to the main one (where is the master Zentyal server).
Is there a common way for all services or I need to configure master/slave for every service?
Thank you very much for your help!

Installation and Upgrades / Zarafa spam redirection
« on: May 31, 2012, 10:20:27 am »
Hi.

My e-mail messages are tagged as spam by an external ASSP server, and it correctly adds the "X-Assp-Spam" header for spam messages, but they are not redirected in the Junk folder by Zarafa Dagent.

These are the configurations of spam recognition in my /etc/zarafa/dagent.cfg:

Code: [Select]
spam_header_name = X-Assp-Spam
spam_header_value = YES

Here are for example the headers of one spam message:

Code: [Select]

As you can see, this e-mail is correctly tagged as spam by the external server (ASSP) and there is the X-Assp-Spam: YES tag in the message source, but it is not redirected in the Junk e-mail of the Zarafa store, but in the Inbox.

Could you help me to find where I'm wrong, please?

Thank you very much!

Installation and Upgrades / Re: E-mail aliases to external address
« on: March 07, 2012, 06:59:50 am »
Yes, I am asking how to setup a local email address on the local Zentyal domain so that when email is sent to the local alias it is forwarded to an external email account, but I don't need that when email is retrieved from that external account, it is forwarded to the local alias on the Zentyal domain.
