I have a server running 3.5 which has 3 sets of raid disks showing as shares.  All was fine until a recent set of updates, now one of the shares shows on the clients computers as being empty despite the server showing there is some 1.5 Tb on that share.   The other two shares are working perfectly.  The client computers are Windows 7, Windows 10, imac and Linux
Can anyone suggest where I should look to try and solve this problem

I found that the fstab file had been corrupted on the line of the raid disks that were showing as empty, hence now Solved.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: File sharing on new raid disks

I appear to have solved the problem by altering the "chunk" size.  I seems that when initially setting  up the array I inadvertently set the chink size to 128, that has now been amended to 256 and all is working well.

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] File sharing on new raid disks
« on: September 10, 2015, 12:17:41 pm »
I have created two new raid disks on my system, md2 and md3 and have setup file sharing on both.
I can use the full disk size, 1TB, on md2 but can only use just over 750GB of the 2TB available, on md3.
What am I doing wrong?  Quotas have been disabled on the user account.  The user is also an administrator.
At this point I have reached the limit of my knowledge. Can anyone help please?

I have checked and the disk sizes shown in the disk usage section of the admin page are correct

Thanks for your comments.  Yes 2.2 is the version to which I am returning.  Will try 3 again but not until my head and the brick wall have recovered.
PS  I'm usually a fairly quick healer

Having tried numerous downloads, updates, fixes and  anything I or various friends have thought of I've decided to give up on the latest (3.0.10) version since none of us can get the vpn clients working.  It's rather a surprise that others are not apparently having a similar problem but that's the way it goes.  Perhaps sometime in the future I'll come back if any of us find a way to make it work.

I'm going back to my previous system, rather reluctantly but of necessity, since I need a working machine with a working vpn.

I am having a real problem in trying to set up a vpn new client which keeps failing with the message.  "No file supplied or already set for CA's certificate*.

After searching the forums I think that the answer may be to remove the ' in 'ca' however I am not sure of the file in which to do this.   Could anyone please point me in the right direction.

Installation and Upgrades / vpn client laptop to different vpn servers
« on: February 23, 2011, 11:28:07 pm »
I have a Vista laptop used to connect to my Zentyal server at home.  The workgroup is Zentyal-domain.
These work very well.
I also use this laptop to connect, at differing times, to two other, older ebox, servers at two different organisations.  These use the workgroup Ebox.
All vpns work well but the Ebox networks can only be seen if the laptop workgroup is changed and the laptop rebooted.
I also have to swap the configuration files on the client openvpn of the laptop depending on the vpn to which it is to be connected.
There must be a better way of doing this, but I am too ignorant at this stage to find it.  Can you please help?

I think that the brain is starting to work again because I've suddenly twigged that I put a switch between the Zentyal box and the networked computers when I reallly need a switch cum wireless access point.

I'll therefore mark this as solved

I am running a Zentyal 2 server with the following connections

router 192.168.0.1
this feeds to the external wan of the server set to 192.168.0.100
the gateway is 192.168.0.1

The internal (lan) static address is 192.168.4.1 with the default Zentyal gateway, primary dns local Zentyal ,and a dhcp range of 192.168.4.100 to 192.168.4.200

When I connect - through a wire- the Vista laptop connects properly and shows the network -
however when trying to connect to the network via a wireless connection it fails.

The laptop shows up on the router as 192.168.0.2

As I understand it that means the laptop wirelessly is connecting but is outside the network.

The question is How do I get it to go inside

Thanks in advance for your help from someone who is at least having a senior moment.
