Hi,
It shouldn't be necessary to install the package 'zentyal-network' itself. You can run the script zentyal_installer.sh and as soon as it finishes, you just need to login through Zentyal GUI using the Elastic IP of the EC2 instance, and then, configure the network module in the initial configuration wizard.
Once you have saved the changes and the network module is set up, you can reboot the EC2 instance to confirm the stability of the Zentyal server.

Hi,
If you want to install Zentyal in a cloud provider, you need to install and configure the Network module before restarting the server, otherwise, the server will boot without an IP address, so, you will lose access. Also, I recommend setting up a static IP configured as 'internal'.

Hi,
You can install the Antivirus module and use it with the Mailfilter module, if you want to use it with the Domain controller module or configure ClamOnAccess you need a commercial edition or just configure the service or create a script by yourself.

Hi,
If you do that action, you will break your Zentyal server.
Zentyal 7.0 is developed for Ubuntu 20, so until Zentyal releases a new version like Zentyal 8 which is based on Ubuntu 22, the upgrade will not work.

Si el servicio de Squid se encuentra en Zentyal, entonces sí que es posible, no obstante dicha funcionalidad sólo está disponible en versiones comerciales tal y como indica la documentación:
Origen:
Permite definir si esta regla se aplicacará a los miembros de un Objeto de Zentyal, a un Grupo de Usuarios o a cualquier tipo de tráfico que atraviese el proxy. Para poder seleccionar 'Grupos de Usuarios', habrá que tener configurado previamente el Servicio de Dominio y Directorio. Además, dicha funcionalidad sólo está disponible en la versión comercial.
A continuación tienes el enlace:

En caso de que tengas el servicio de Squid en un servidor a parte y quieres integrar su autenticación con el módulo de controlador de dominio de Zentyal, también es posible. Tendrás que revisar la documentación oficial de Squid y sí, tal y como indicas, tendrás que revisar de hacerlo vía LDAP.

* How many domain controllers do you have? And what OS and version they are running?
* What errors are you getting?
* Did you analyze the log files?
* /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log
* /var/log/syslog
Also, a general recommendation in case one of them is Zentyal 6.1+ is to generate a system status by running the following script:
NOTE: The script may contain sensitive information.

The following link explains the path to the Local Security Path. I tested it and it is just a workaround, with that you can join the domain and use the share folders, however, the GPO does not work.

If you are using Zentyal 6.2 or 7.0, run the following script to get a system report and pay special attention to the Domain controller output:
NOTE: If you want to post the output here, make sure that your rename the sensitive information that the report might have.
However, according to the output, it seems that you do not have any additional domain controller in your environment.

there was issue with webadmin module saving. it was shucked there.
i have facing multiple time this issue please help me out.
There is an open issue on Github, below you have the link. Aparently, it happens when you install several modules during the initial configuration wizard. Try to install Zentyal again but this time, only install the firewall module in the initial configuration wizard.

Unfortunately, yes, I had a similar issue with OpenVPN module. My issue was caused by the 'expiration' of the CRL, and because of that, the VPN connection did not work. The message was the following:
Basically, I have to do something with any certificate in thirty days max such as create or remove a certificate, otherwise, a VPN connection may stop working.

You have two options:
1. Install and configure the OpenVPN module, so the domain users can connect through VPN to the Zentyal server and then access their personal resources.
2. Create a rule in the firewall that allows certain IP addresses to the Domain Controller module.
The best option by far is the first one, but if you do not want to use another module and you do not bother to change the public IP of your clients constantly, it should work as well but it is not as safer as the first option.
