Hi folks!
I don't know, if it is the right place to post my topic. But I post anyway.
Has anyone experience with a webhosting control panel, which works with zentyal? I think about ZPanel. My idea is to install a server for webhosting, so that the users are able to manage their own webspace, mailboxes, databases, and so on. But I also want the features of Zentyal like the firewall, proxy, etc.
I don't know, if it is the right place to post my topic. But I post anyway.

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] Password GP doesn't work | Version of Windows AD?

Hi all
I set up zentyal as a PDC. Everything works fine, but I have a problem with password group policy. I set up the complexity, password history, minimal password length, max and min age of password. I configured it at the default domain policy. The only thing which works well, is password history. The other doesn't. An user is able to set "1234" as a password.
I searched in different windows forums. But didn't find a solution. By the way, which version of windows AD-Server is Zentyal? windows 2003 or windows 2008?
Any idea?

hi all
I'm looking for the folder netlogon on the server. I found this Article http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,12635.msg52240.html#msg52240, but the path \\server\netlogon (/var/lib/samba/sysvol/<domain_name>/scripts) doesn't exist on my machine.
Where can I find the folder for netlogon?
I'm looking for the folder netlogon on the server. I found this Article http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,12635.msg52240.html#msg52240, but the path \\server\netlogon (/var/lib/samba/sysvol/<domain_name>/scripts) doesn't exist on my machine.

Hallo Zusammen
Ich habe noch nicht so viele Erfahrungen mit Gruppenrichtlinien sammeln können. Auch in der Doku von Zentyal findet man nicht allzu viel darüber. Ich will hier mal eine Diskussion anstossen, was ihr so für Erfahrungen gesammelt habt. Schreibt doch mal frei von der Leber.
- Was geht gut mit GPO/Zentyal, was funktioniert nicht?
- Wo liegen die Knackpunkte?
- Wo findet man gute Tutorials/Anleitungen?
- Was habt ihr so selbst umgesetzt? Eventuelle Beispiele?

Installation and Upgrades / hide specific folders in share with gpo's

Hi
I didn't found any solution for my problem. I set up a pdc with zentyal and there is a share called "data". In these folder I have different subfolders. I call it "subfolder_groupA" and "subfolder_groupB". I want to set up, that only Members of Group A can access and see the folder "subfolder_groupA". The other folders have to be hidden. Similar the other group with their folder.
How can I set up these with GPO?

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] User Synchronization doesn't work

Hi there
I have 2 servers. I want to synchronize users and groups from server1 to server2. Connection worked fine. In server1, it shows me server2 as slave (in module users&groups, synchronization). But in server2 there is no user nor a group. Can I push the synchronization? Or what can I do? I have no idea, why it doesn't work.
Any help or idea is welcome.

I have 2 servers. Server1 is a PDC, server2 is a mailserver. I configured server1 with events, so he sends mail to an email-account from a user in case of a specific event. This works fine. Is there a possibility, to send these emails to a group instead of a user? So that several users receive these emails? Whats the best way to realize it?
Another question. Is there a possibility to forward some specific emails to another group. For example, every mails goes to a group. But when the email has e specific subject (a word like "warning", "alert" or something else) these emails will be forwarded to an other group. Is that possible? And if, how can I do that?
I look forward to some good tips.

Hallo
Ich habe 2 Server, davon einer als PDC, der andere als reiner Mailserver. Ich habe jetzt den PDC so konfiguriert, dass er mir bei bestimmten Events eine Mail an einen Benutzer schickt. Das funktioniert alles wunderbar. Jetzt möchte ich das aber so einrichten, dass anstatt nur ein Benutzer, eine bestimmte Gruppe dieses Mail erhält. Wie mache ich das am besten?
Das Zweite Feature wäre, dass nicht nur alle Mails an diese Benutzergruppe weitergeleitet werden, sondern Warnungen oder Mails mit von mir bestimmten Mustern noch weitergeleitet werden. Also sprich, sämtliche Log-Mails, Statistik-Mails, etc. geht an eine Benutzergruppe. Sobald aber eines der Mails ein bestimmtes Muster aufweist (zB das Wort Warnung oder so im Betreff) wird es zusätzlich an eine andere Gruppe oder einen anderen Benutzer weitergeleitet. Ist das überhaupt realisierbar?

Installation and Upgrades / Problem with DNS in mailserver

Good Morning
I have a problem with the dns-role.
I have 2 servers und both are installed with zentyal. Server1 is a PDC. Server2 is only a mailserver. DNS is configured on Server1 and the MX-Record is the IP-adress of server2. When I want to install the module "Mail" in server2, zentyal forces me to install "DNS" too. The problem then is, that in the module network, in the tab DNS the IP 127.0.0.1 wil be set from zentyal. This generates me some problems. The module "DNS" in server2 is not configured as in server1. And I think, it isn't a good solution, to configure 2 similar DNS-Server. Is there any chance, to configure the Tab DNS on Network at server2, so that it points to server1? Or does someone have a better solution?

German / [solved] DNS-Rolle bei Mailserver deaktivieren?

Hallo Zusammen
Ich stehe gerade auf dem Schlauch, respektive kriege es nicht so hin, wie ich es beabsichtige.
Ich habe 2 Server, welche ich beide mit Zentyal konfiguriere. Server1 dient als PDC. Server2 dient ausschliesslich als Mailserver. Auf dem Server1 habe ich die DNS-Rolle konfiguriert und den MX-Record so gesetzt, dass er auf den Server2 zeigt. Beim Server2 habe ich beim Modul Netzwerk unter dem Reiter DNS die IP-Adresse von Server1 eingetragen. Wenn ich den Mail-Dienst auf dem Server2 dann installieren will, muss ich gezwungenermassen auch das Modul DNS installieren. Wenn ich das dann mache, wird beim Modul Network beim Reiter DNS der localhost (also die IP 127.0.0.1) eingetragen. Diese kann ich dann nicht löschen. Alle DNS-Abfragen vom Mailserver her werden also dann an sich selber gerichtet. Dies führt dann zu diversen Problemen, weil ich das Modul DNS beim Server2 nicht wie beim Server1 konfiguriert habe.
Ich könnte jetzt natürlich das Modul DNS beim Server2 genau gleich konfigurieren wie beim Server1. Das finde ich aber nicht so eine tolle Lösung, weil ich dann bei Änderungen an 2 Orten das ganze ändern muss.
Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit für mein Problem?

German / [SOLVED] Anpassen/Personalisieren HTML-Template Zentyal-Admin

Schon wieder eine Frage meinerseits. 
Ich habe Zentyal 3.0.13 auf einem Ubuntu Server 12.04 installiert und einen PDC eingerichtet. Alles funktioniert wunderbar. Des weiteren habe ich noch 2 weitere Zentyal-Server aufgsetzt. Wenn ich nun alle 3 Zentyal-Server administrieren will, kann es vorkommen, dass ich schauen muss, auf welchem Server ich gerade bin. Ich kann die Server nur anhand der Adresszeile unterscheiden. Nun habe ich mir überlegt, dass ich das HTML-Template für jeden Server anpassen könnte. Z.B. so, dass ich neben dem Logo und der Überschrift "Community Edition" den Namen des Servers anschreibe. So wäre auf einen Blick klar, auf welchem Server ich mich gerade befinde.
Was meint ihr zu diesem Vorschlag? Und wie setze ich das am besten um? Welchen Webserver verwendet eigentlich Zentyal für das Webadmin? Und wo sind diese Files gespeichert?
Hat jemand vielleicht eine bessere Idee?

Hallo Zusammen
Ich habe Zentyal 3.0 auf einem Ubuntu Server 12.04 installiert und einen PDC eingerichtet. Alles funktioniert wunderbar. Das Ganze habe ich momentan in einer virtuellen Maschine und möchte dann das Ganze auf einem richtigen Server aufsetzen. Nun ist es so, dass ich das Betriebssystem auf einer CF-Karte installiere. Somit habe ich darauf nur begrenzten Platz.
Zu meiner eigentlichen Frage. Wie kann ich am besten den Pfad für die Roaming-Profile anpassen?
