In the interest of others here in the forum, it would be nice to know how you fixed it. It would also be nice to know what versions of the software this fix is for.

Kontact (the PIM in KDE)
Evolution (the PIM in Ubuntu)
etc
Nokia phones
Blackberry
Android based phones
iPhones
etc.
This is just a minimum of what SHOULD be available. Outlook and iPhone is not nearly enough. And a webinterface is not something I like when I travel. I frequently go to places with poor or no internet connectivity, and then I need to have the information with me and available.

I would like to be able to use Asterisk in the future as a small phone sentral for our house.
We have one incoming line and I need to find a realiable, but cheap way to connect it to the server. Do we need a special pci-card for that? Obviously, we do not need a multiline setup, a card that accept an RJ-11 connector is all we need (analog line).
Another big thing would be to be able to connect Asterisk to Skype. Yes, there are other VOIP providers, and we would like at least one or two of them, but it would be really cool to be able to forward a regular Skype call to a telephone handset!

I also know several businesses that would like to be able to allow customers all over the world to call the main office by just using Skype and get through to either a conference room or directly to a phone.
But especially for us here in Brazil, a communications hub would be of great value and in the long run, we would save money. The reason is that we still have to pay long distance fees here, even for a call to a city 30 km away! There are several VOIP providers in addition to widespread use of Skype. It is not unthinkeable to imagine a setup like this:
Asterisk with SIP handsets in the house
A local analog line - seems like a modem can be used as interface in some cases
A VOIP operator for nationwide calls
Another VOIP operator for international calls
Skype
With a set of dialling rules that always sends the call to the route that is cheapest, a family here that has relatives in other states/countries can easily save the cost of the hardware and software.

It would be interesting to see what of the groupware systems that has more functions and especially connectivity in the free version.
Zarafa seems to have serious limitations on the free version. What about the others?

eBox 1.4 is not supported on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
Either install Zentyal 2.0rc1 on Ubuntu 10.04 or re-install the server with eBox 1.4 and Ubuntu 8.04.
