Installation and Upgrades / Various Minor Warnings/Error from error.log after boot
« on: August 27, 2011, 09:39:56 pm »
Just a bunch of various warnings and error from /var/log/zentyal/error.log after boot. Setup is 2.2-rc2 with latest updates in VMWare instance with 2 NICs, all packages included except mail related ones. I have defined my own CA Certificate, using the web interface, for the instance.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Zentyal management web interface won't start after reboot

2.2-rc2 with latest updates seems to have fixed this problem for me.

This is 100% reproducible on all my fresh installs. My setup is a VMWare instance with two NICs, all I did was install from 2.2-rc2 ISO with all packages but mail related ones and it occurs on reboot. I also tried recreating the problem on another machine with a different VMWare install and created a new VMWare instance from scratch.

Installation and Upgrades / 2.2-rc2 Ticket #3072: PPTP Web Config doesn't save VPN Network Address

Changing the constants of the Perl model seems to achieve the desired effect so I'm assuming the bug lies somewhere in that relevant code. Hopefully someone who knows how the web backend works can fix this easily.

Same problem with rc2 after fresh install, also, I noticed the Dashboard says there is 1 system update available after I updated from web interface, but none of the Software Management lists in the web interface show anything. I had to do it from the command line.

The problem seems to occur at each reboot in my setup, which is a fresh install. Also, in response to robb, it was my understanding that 2.2 had ebox references removed which means /var/log/ebox/ebox.log is now /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log
There doesn't appear to be any relevant errors in zentyal.log

Installation and Upgrades / Some Zentyal Disc Art
« on: May 28, 2011, 11:50:28 am »
I was printing some discs out for something else I was working on and I had some time left over so I made this collection of images for my Zentyal discs, for those of us who still install distros using discs. I made it in Fireworks and I'm not a graphic artist so it's not miraculous, but better than discs with everything written using a marker.
