Hi,
We have noticed that when Zentyal using active  domain controller, it do not read values from the sub organizational OU , for eg if I have computer name in the sub OU of active directory Zentyal does not read it and display.
Please add this feature of reading computer names from the sub organization unit
thanks

Hi All,
I am trying out Zentyal 5.0.10 community edition, where I have a windows primary domain controller and windows backup domain controller.
I tried to join as backup domain controller.
When I was going through the log files, I am seeing information
Quote
root@pi-svr-dc:/var/log/samba# cat log.backup.srv-adc
[2018/01/31 08:43:52.905413,  0] ../source3/param/loadparm.c:3322(process_usershare_file)
process_usershare_file: stat of /var/lib/samba/usershares/sysvol failed. Permission denied
[2018/01/31 08:43:52.912656,  0] ../source3/param/loadparm.c:3322(process_usershare_file)
process_usershare_file: stat of /var/lib/samba/usershares/sysvol failed. Permission denied

process_usershare_file: stat of /var/lib/samba/usershares/sysvol failed. Permission denied

Like to know why I am getting such message for the windows backup domain controller
Thanks

Hi All,
I am trying to mount a NFS share to the zentyal machine,
from command line, it gets mounted when I given the mount commands, after cross checking it is working fine ( i testing by writing some files after mounting it)
Now I edited /etc/fstab
Quote
192.168.0.146:/testlandomain    /fileserver   nfs acl,nofail,noatime,nolock,intr,tcp,actimeo=1800 0 0

it does not mount it automatically once the system boot
I have to manually mount it using the command line.

it is same in CE and EE

Hi All,
A couple of days back, I have connected my Debian,Ubuntu(different versions), Centos to Zentyal doman controller.
This I have done at my home.

Now in my friends office, tried out with the latest CE. Edited the client machiens /etc/resolv.conf to reflect the zentyal server. Now I have my CentOS machine gets reply when pinging hostname of the zentyal server, while none of the debian based machines hostname is not getting resolved, I would like to mention that there is entry for zenyal server in the /etc/resolv.conf file.

This is wierd, why CentOS works, but not the deb based systems

Today I tried with the latest ISO downloaded
Advice and guidance requested

Hi,
I am using the latest CE of Zentyal
I was able to add  my Ubuntu machine to Zentyal DC, using the tool from  “pbis-open”
after joining the domain, when I try to give
Quote
su – test.lan\\john
from the newely joined Ubuntu machine, I get the message
Quote
su: Authentication failure.

But when I check the log in the Zentyal machine, I see the login success
the log files post at the link
Quote
http://paste.ubuntu.com/26196150/

From the log we can see, it is terminating the connection, and there is port also mentioning about ports 50334, 52657, 33070 , 58946 mentioned in the log from the ubuntu machine (IP 10.20.30.15)

Guidance and advice requested

Hi
Previously we had dedicated machine running PBX, and I was using GUI part to configure it.
Now as per my green initiative, I plan to cut down the machine usage. Want to explore how could I use Zental for IP-PBX on analog line
from the documentation link "http://doc.zentyal.org/en/voip.html" . I know that it is possible.
But my confusion is that, do I need to edit conf files for setting up incoming rules and outgoing rules
Will I have a GUI similar to elastix
It will be great help If  get advice
Thanks
