Title: Not able to open share folder of Zentyal 5.0 from Windows XP PCs

Hi,

After upgrading Zentyal 4.1 to 5.0 developer edition, I am not able to connect my any shared folders of Zentyal server from Windows XP PCs. When I am trying to connect with UNC path it shows your account has been locked out. I have unlock the account and tried again same thing happened again. So I have tried with Windows 7 PCs and able to open with UNC path and folders. Whenever I am trying to connect the Zentyal folder account is locked out immediately in windows XP.

Please Help..

resolved.


samba4 now forces to use NTLMv2, and WinXP uses NTLMv1 by default.

so, you have to change settings to support NTLMv2:
* open Administrative Tools
* open Local Security Policy
* open Security Settings\\Local Policies\\Security Options
* find Network security: LAN Manager authentication level
* change to Send NTLMv2 response only\\refuse LM and NTLM
* press apply, yes and you are ready.
