Hi (New to all this, so please bear with me)

Zentyal 4.1 jsut downloaded, installed & updated.

I found this thread https://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=9208.0 which seems just what I need to replace the self signed cert with a third party.

However, the file paths are all different in 4.1 - an anyone "translate" for me?

Many thanks

Installation and Upgrades / RPC over HTTPS in 4.0

I'm trying to connect Outlook 2013 to Zentyal over the internet.

It's so slow, it takes about 5 -10 minutes to connect. Running the RPCDiags doesn't throw any errors. When it connects its fine.

Android & iPads all work fine with no performance issues.

However, Outlook for the Mac connects but won't sync and of you try and send it throws an error (unknown error) The office diagnostics logging aren't very helpful either

Hi, complete newb to Linux, apologies and pls bear with me...

I've got zentyal installed and running, I can receive mail. When I send (via the web interface) the mail sends.

When I look in the queue management, it's queued with an unknown transport error.

From the zentyal console I can telnet in to any receiving mail server on port 25 and get a response (so not a firewall issue).

If I go to the logs and view the log it just displays the same error.

I suppose that my question is twofold a) where are the logs that will give me more detail to start to diagnose this & b) any suggestions as to whats causing it?

Installation and Upgrades / Mail Display Name

Complete noob...

Zentyal 3.5, all working OK with OpenChange etc.

When I send a mail out from the zentyal box, the receiveing client [say outlook] shows the mail ad from fred.bloggs@domain.com instead of Fred Bloggs.

The firstnam last name fields are filled in on the users properties - am I missing something?

Complete noob...

Zentyal 3.5, all working OK with OpenChange etc.

I want to use a 3rd Party cert (GoDaddy) for webmail (and activsync) and possibly the admin (but not really important as I can get around that whereas a thick user can't get around his iPhone moaning about the untrusted cert) How do I do that? Theres load about cat the cery and the key to a .pem file, but where do I put thjose and config the modules to read thyem instead of the self signed cert?

Installation and Upgrades / OpenChange URLs
« on: September 18, 2014, 12:39:59 pm »
I setup zentyal 3.5 on a domain company.local (split dns issues and all that)

I then added company.com. I can go to https://zentyal.company.com/sogo and get the login promp then the page redirects to https://zentyal.company.local/..... which obviously isnt accessible externally. If I edit the url in the browser (substituting .com for .local) its all fine.

Where can I change this?

I'm just setting up open change.

The rpc http/https host name is given as domain.com and I want it to be remote.domain.com - how do I change it? a uninstall & reinstall of Openchange didn't do anything

many thanks for your reply.

I'm not quite sure I understand your comments re beta & community release.

I've downloaded the latest 64bit ISO community edition and its that that gives me the options.

Installation and Upgrades / Installation Choices

Hi,

I want to replace an MS SBS and am looking at Zentyal to do the job. On the SBS I use Exchange, Outlook webmail & file and print - I also use the AD and push out GPOs etc.

When I get to the setup part of Zentyal, I choose office, communications and when I look there's two mail services and related bits and bobs. (Openserver etc & mail services) - do I install both? are they interdependent ?
