I thought of that, but my dell does not have a PS/2 connection for a keyboard.

As a work around, I installed ebox 1.2 iso on the non-Dell machine and moved that harddrive into the dell machine.

It booted without any problems.

After more testing, it is not the cdrom, it must be the Dell system.  I ran the installer on a Non-Dell machine and it worked.  I removed the cdrom from the machine that worked and installed it in the Dell machine and the same problem.  Install hangs...

Any clues as to why?  Tried to install on a Dell Dimension E520 and Dell XPS 410.

Thanks

It is the CD-ROM drive... the one on the machine I want to install ebox on is a DVD + CD R / RW.  I tried it on another machine with another type of CD-ROM and it worked fine...   :(

Thank you for your help.

Also,  I have been able to install the 1.2 iso in a Proxmox KVM virtual instance.  However, I want to load ebox on a dedicated physical server.

Just checking the basics here...
Did you always download from the same site?  If so it may be worth trying one of the mirrors from this link:
http://trac.ebox-platform.com/wiki/Document/Mirrors

I downloaded from two different sites...

Do the download and md5 sums correspond?

The md5 sums checkout

After burning the ISO does the CD-ROM pass the integrity check shown on the opening screen of the eBox-Installer?

The screen moves so fast to the language screen that I cannot select any options on the first screen.

I cannot get the ebox 1.2 iso installer to go beyond the language screen.  Upon boot, first screen shows up then quickly goes to the language screen, then everything freezes.  I have downloaded the 1.2 iso multiple times and still have the same issue.  I have also tried different hardware, however, they are all Dell machines.

Any suggestions?
