Installation and Upgrades / Samba Quota
« on: February 17, 2010, 08:54:29 pm »
Hi !
I installed ebox to be used just as a plain fileserver.(1.4.1)  The server has a 2 TB sata raid5 (adaptec hardware) raid  storage.  Evrything seems to work fine, except that even if I disable the Quota, I'm not able to store more than 100 Mb on any user.  It seems that the quota is not disabled even if I do so in the controlpanel.

Installation and Upgrades / Updating using ssh
« on: January 22, 2009, 07:24:37 pm »
Hi!

I note that even if automatic updates is enabled in e-box, it seems that the system is unable to see new updates from the webinterface (firefox 3.05)

When using  apt-get update & apt-get upgrade  you get the option to upgrade e-box.

question 1)  Why is not e-box upgrading when atutomatic upgrades is enabled.
question 2)  will upgrading using  apt-get update & apt-get upgrade possible berak any part of the e-box install ?

I'm using   e-box 0.11.101  only as a fileserver in a local network ( only 1 network interface) with address 192.168.1.x

Port 445 is routed through the firewall to the e-box address 192.168.1.x

This version of e-box ( 0.11.101)  replaced the old e-box version we used earlyer that was replaced due to a server hareware failure.

In the old version of e-box it was possible to remotely administer the e-box thru a NAT'ed network address.

The new e-box 0.11.101, when you try to save new settings ( like resetting of passwords in filesharing ) is trying to redirect you to the local 192.168.1.x  address after pressing the change buttom. This behavior is different from the old versiom and makes problems remotely supporting the e-box in this configuration.  any ideas how to solve this problem ??    / Petter

In my error is filled with:

[Thu Jan  4 11:56:40 2008] [crit] (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to port 443
[Thu Jan  4 11:56:42 2008] [warn] module mod_ssl.c is already added, skipping

I'm using Ebox just as a fileserver - no other modules is in active use.

I'm trying to find out how to solve this ??
