Spanish / Re: Unir server2003 a zentyal 3.4

Hola

yo no tenga tanta experience para ayudarte.
a lo mejor tendras que buscar auxilio comercial ya que esto es tan complejo y en una oficina comercial.

they way i understand it would be:

the PIA vpn will create a connection - which will add a new route and gateway to your zentyal
check with:
route -n

before and after the installation

so you will not need zentyal vpn at all
but you will need to route all traffic into the PIA gateway instead.

could you post some info on this PIA?

i have found articles about it.
but not the actual implementation on linux info.

i am interested in helping you out as i had posted very similar question myself around the same time.
https://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,21950.0.html

since i have installations on running on Virtual Systems; i considered creating a new VM to do the VPN connectivity.
if you have a similar option try that.

4
it should be fine by using the PIA  as you described.
in this case PIA becomes the gateway for ZENTYAL.
whereby all traffic is redirected to it.

have you not tried that?

ps: love the diagram - which tool did you use?

hello,

could somebody please throw me a bone here..

i have to enter 80+ systems on a DNS for a 'small' network
these are mostly linux (except for the laptops - 15)

all the information has already been entered in the Network Object and it is used by the DHCP module.
but it can not be used by the DNS module.

any suggestions on how i can import/use this info that is currently in zentyal?

thanks,

6
i am afraid i have not idea.

i had used denyhosts in the past, and i will have a look at this alternative

7
hi

what kind of service did you have when you setup the cloud backup?

thanks

hi,

could you please post some pointers for the documentation on how subsonic uses/connects to ldap?

thanks,

11
since it implies in filtering packets that try to access your port 22.

would it not be safer to lock *everything* to the external connection *except* a vpn connection
and then use a vpn client to access your system?

regards,

12
i think i need to see a picture of this setup to understand it..

let me try:

router (gwInternet)
zbox (zentyal 2.2)

router has connection to internet AND can also route traffic through OPENVPN service PIA?
zbox connects to router to access Internet?

Installation and Upgrades / VPN - zentyal to Third party
« on: May 19, 2014, 11:25:02 am »
hello,

i am trying a new setup and i would like to have all traffic to be routed through a 3rd party VPN provider.

in this case, i have http://www.earthvpn.com/setup/

there is a feature in zentyal that enable for vpn connection between 2 zentyal systems.
but i am looking for pointers on how to setup a 3rd party VPN within zentyal.

if that is not possible - what would be a viable alternative?

create a VM that connects to this 3rd party vpn and route all traffice through that?

regards,

14
it seems that there are problem with Zentyal that are using internal/local LDAP as well as those using WINDOWS AD.

i will spin up a system and check this (without WINAD).

to certain - everybody is using and having problems with Zentyal 3?

Quote
Otherwise, it will not be possible to access services by the hosts in the LAN by name, but only by IP address.
that means your clients connected through VPN do not use the Zentyal in their dns lookup.
