I have the same case nowadays. There should be more documentation for typical cases. Nobody in their right mind apply a major version in the same machine. Once you have configured the new server, you shutdown the older and start to work with the new one.
The biggest problem I am finding in this forum is that all the unsolved topics still unsolved from years (versions) ago.
Zentyal's developers: Migration is the right way! Not to clone servers or restore backups, but we need the tools to do it. Why we cannot export the configuration from one simple module to other server in a simple file? if I have the same objects and services in both servers It should be possible!!!

Por desgracia, han tenido la "magnífica idea" de eliminar uno de los módulos que más uso le daba en entornos corporativos. Hay cosas que no tienen explicación.

Que no trajese integrado el filtrado de https lo podía llegar a entender, pero que hayan retirado todo el módulo es incomprensible.

Esperemos que para la siguiente versión se hayan arrepentido y lo vuelvan a integrar.

Si alguien acepta mi humilde opinión lo suyo sería que hubiesen creado 2 zentyal:
1. Infraestructura de red (firewall, dhcp, dns, ntp, vpn, QoS, proxy)
2. Infraestructura de comunicaciones (LDAP, mail, anti-spam, antivirus, messenger, CA )

Algunos servicios los utilizarían ambas máquinas, pero lo suyo sería que se pudiesen comunicar entre sí para no replicar servicios.

Creo que a Zentyal aún le queda mucho camino por recorrer, pero ya no sé si el que están siguiendo es hacia delante o hacia atrás.
