Hi All,

I am trying to use an internet modem on my zentyal server, this modem on windows usually has to be installed and authentication provided, and of course connected via the USB port, Is it possible to use such on Zentyal, I am trying to buy a USB to Ethernet converter, but i believe that will not solve all the problems. Can anyone assist with this?

Hi There,

I have not been able to log into the zentyal remotely all day, I even went to the server itself and mozilla keeps saying "firefox can't establish a connection to server at 172.19.23.1".

Does anyone know about this error and why it comes up? The server is running well, still acting as gateway and issuing out IP addresses. Just cannot access the admin page either remotely or on server itself.

Kindly assist.

Hi, I am looking at attaching a Wifi card directly to zentyal, such that there is no need for cables, all clients connect wirelessly to the zentyal server, Is this attainable and how?

Hi,

Can you guys help me with the use of the VPN service, I am stuck!!!! I want to achieve a situation where a remote user can connect to the server from a remote location and also for remote support to be made available (access to admin page). Not sure if VPN can do both, i get this error while trying to download the client bundle "Cannot use for the bundle the server's certificate"

What do you think i should do?

Hi there,

I have used the asterix feature to configure an intercom, all the IP Phones are working fine, But my E71 nokia cannot call the extensions, However it can receive calls from the extensions, Can anyone help.......Please note that the VOIP feature is used only for intercom purposes only, Will appreciate feedback that can help with the issue.

Say i have a zentayl box in house that acts as a gateway, configured with IP from my ISP, is it possible to connect to ti from an external source / if yes , how can this be done, Explicit responses will be highly appreciated.. Many thanks.

Hi All, Can someone help with this error, atimes, when we try to open web pages in my network, everyone just keeps seeing the underlisted error. At other times it happens for some websites, and i notice this just happens by itself. I use HTTP Proxy to block some websites though....wonder if that might have a hand in it.

Hi,

Can anyone tell if zentyal can do URL filtering? Users on my network do too much social sites and this leaves the network jammed, was wondering if it can be done. thanks

Hi Guys,

I'm having challenges with my DHCP service, Its permanently stopped, when i try to start, it says "error restarting service-see var/log/ebox/ebox.log" I do not even know how to access this log file to understand what's going on, I am sure i configured the network interfaces properly, Kindly assist.

Thanks Zen,

The Zentyal server is not configured to be a mail server, hence not needing to put in any IP address as smtp, the IP details posted is same as is displayed on the error icon on outlook. There must be something stopping emails from going out, i think it is needful to clarify that the server is not configured as a mail server, it should simply allow traffic to pass through.

Hi Guys,

This is affecting my business seriously, we have a hosted email server and users connect to the mailserver through outlook. Right now users can receive but cannot send emails,the error message generated is listed below.

"Your outgoing (SMTP) Server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message,contact your server administrator or internet service provider. The server responded: 452 41.184.48. has exceeded IP rate-limit."

If the Zentyal server is bypassed, everything will work fine, clients can equally use their webmail, but they CANNOT send emails with the Zentyal server as the gateway. please assist urgently.

Guys,

There is a crictical issue here, users can receive mails but cannot send, Steps i took are outlined above, I have reverted all the changes but issue lingers on, Please assist with this case, I look forward to hearing from you.

Alright Guys,

Let me shed a bit more light into this, we have two domains in-house, first domain exclusively pulls mails from the internet and has no complaints, second domain equally pulls mails from the internet and equally configured on zentyal, furthermore the person(s) complaining most is on this second domain, I guess there might be a conflict issue here since everyone is still connected to the zentyal server.

What i have decided to do is to uncheck "webmail, mail and mail filter" options on the "module status" tab. I believe this disables these options and make the users connect exclusively to the mail server in the cloud.

What's your take on this, I want to observer for 24 hrs.
