Hi.

I have installed a zentyal 2.2 as a firewall with pptp server. I have added a few pptp users, and tried to open the firewall for pptp traffic.
But I am unable to connect.

I have read the manual:
http://doc.zentyal.org/en/pptp.html

And it says to open 1723/TCP port and the GRE protocol.
I have tried to do that too...

Can anyone tell me what to open in the correct part of the firewall (packet filter)?

Installation and Upgrades / Pootle password.

Did the passwords on the pootle server change with Zentyal?

I can not log in to continue translating.
I tried to reregister too and got this message:

"You (or someone else) attempted to register an account with your username.
We don't store your actual password but only a hash of it.
If you have a problem with registration, please contact it@zentyal.org.
Your user name is: xxxxxx
Your registered email address is: xxx@xx.xx"

Installation and Upgrades / Sync Mobiles with Active Sync protocol
« on: October 28, 2009, 08:57:07 am »
I came over a Open Source solution to do just this...
Would be a great feature to integrate into eBox...

http://z-push.sourceforge.net/soswp/index.php?pages_id=1&t=home
"More info:

Z-push is an implementation of the ActiveSync protocol which is used 'over-the-air' for multi platform ActiveSync devices, including Windows Mobile, iPhone, Sony Ericsson and Nokia mobile devices. With Z-push any groupware can be connected and synced with these devices."

I have now translated most of eGroupWare to Norwegian Bokmål.
It submitted to eGW but will not be available until the next version of eGW.

If anyone want to try it, you can download it here:
http://www.speedy.no/egw-no.tar.gz

Unpack and copy the egw_no.lang of each module to /usr/share/egroupware/<modulename>/setup/

Installation and Upgrades / I'm getting mixed encodings in eGroupware...
« on: September 18, 2009, 04:42:48 pm »
eGroupware is supposed to be all UTF-8. And all language files are UTF-8.

But using the integrated webemail (felamimail), I get different encodings on the header and in the body.
The Header is encoded in ISO-8855-1, the body is encoded in UTF-8 and the GUI is encoded in UTF-8.

This is how it looks when I open the mail window:

And changing the encoding in Firefox manually to ISO-8859-1 gives me this:

As you can see, the GUI is unreadable and the headers are readable with ISO-8859-1 encoding in Firefox. But if I open a email the body is encoded in UTF-8 and special caracters are then unreadable. If I dont change do ISO-8859-1 encoding in Firefox the body of the email is readable.

My guess is that this is a BUG in eBox, and the email headers are stored in ISO-8859-1. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi. Since I'm done translating eBox to Norwegian, I wan to start translating eGroupware too.

I asked in the eGroupware forum, how to start translating, and this was the reply I got:
Code: [Select]
Hi,

The eGroupWare has an integrated translation tool, called "developer tools".

First, you should install English and Norwegian languages as egroupware
domain config user via http://yoursite/egroupware/setup

After that, login to your egroupware account as admin and make developer
tools to available for you.

Now you will see the developer tools module. StartIT (this is the name of my
company :)
So, you will get a list about all installed modules. Just select one and
start translating.
Be careful, the webserver must have a write permission to the filesystem
(module_name/setup) to write out the new language file.

Have fun!

Cheers,
István

I can enter that page, but I have no usable user/passwords.
I have tried the user I created in eBox, and admin with the eBox password.

Anyone know what the admin password in eGroupware is in eBox?

As said over... I have finished translating eBox to Norwegian Bokmål, how and when can I test it?

Installation and Upgrades / Is there a vacation auto reply?
« on: September 15, 2008, 08:41:12 pm »
Does eBox have a vacation  auto reply feature?
It there a plugin?

What I would like is something like the Outlook/Exchange "Out of office reply".

Installation and Upgrades / Is the ISO installer self upgrading?
« on: September 08, 2008, 12:20:14 pm »
I installed the 0.11 ISO a while back, and now I am trying to upgrade it to 0.12.

This is the General information from my eBox server:
Time    Mon Sep 8 12:14:20 CEST 2008
Host name    ebox
eBox version    0.11.100
System load    1.35, 1.21, 1.10

I have enabled Automatic updates, but in the Components list all modules have the same version 0.11.100 on both Installed version and latest version.

Can I trigger the updates manually with SSH? What is the default user/pass on SSH? I can't log in with any of the user/pass I have.
