Installation and Upgrades / Easy mass/bulk users import

Hello,
I have seen a script to mass import of Zentyal users.
I would like to know if there is an easier way to do it.
An ideal way would be a web button to import a csv file but is not possible as far as I know.
So I am thinking about:

- mass import with ldap/ldif
- mass import with a windows domain client

Can you help me?

Hello,
probably I  have found the source of my problems: I have two zentyal domain controllers that I have joined following your guide.
Now I see that sysvol directory is different in two zentyals and probably s4 too.
So I see three replication scripts: filesync, s4sync and sysvol-sync.

I now ask:

- how can I run them?
- In which server they must run?
- what is the purpose of filesync?

Installation and Upgrades / Group policies are not applied

Hello,
I have two zentyal servers configured as active directory domain controllers following official documentation.
I now use official microsoft tools to create group policies and add logon scripts.
I get a permission error, this is a known bug so I apply the workaround of resetting permissions with samba-tools.
But now group policies are not applied.
I go in a windows xp client. I select "sysvol" share and I navigate it. I can see only the default group policies (default domain) and not the new one I created. Inside the policies I cannot see the "logon" directory nor the scripts inside.
Is this the problem? I need to use group policies. Please tell me what is wrong and a workaround.

Hello,
with a fresh installation of zentyal 3.0 users cannot access their homes (bug #5697).
Adding a /home share helps, but can you give me a better workaround??

Installation and Upgrades / How can I remove a PC from zentyal ldap?

Hello,
I have two pcs that cannot join my domain anymore.
Usually with windows server I go in active directory domain and I remove the PC then I can rejoin it.

How can I do the same thing in zentyal?
I tried to go in ldap:390 but I can find only users list!

I see that you can sync two zentyal 3.0 servers in at least two ways:

- sync the users;
- sync the two zentyals as domain controller/additional domain controller.

I need to know what are the differences between the two ways.

I need to know also if the sync is two ways. I mean: can I add users in each server or I can add users only in the master server?

Have you tried zentyal 3.0 with 100 users? 300? 500? 1000?

Hello,
I am using zentyal 3.0 and bulk creating 1283 students with the perl script in your wiki.
After a bit the perl script starts giving this error: "Maximum number of users reached".

Why? Is there a user limit?

Please help me!

I have two zentyal with 500 users each. Each user has some contents on his home. I need to merge them and build only one server with all 1000 users.

How can I do it? I mean: the problem is for the UID of users of second server.

Installation and Upgrades / Master/slave installation: no combobox to choose slave

Hello,
I am configuring two zentyal as master slave.
The master and the slave self configure as master, I do not know why.
I am reading the documentation and it says to go to slave in the ldap menu and in the combobox choose "slave". Then you can put master ip.
Unfortunately I do not see the combo widget nor in the master nor in the slave.

How can I do?

Hello,
I need to upgrade a school installation of ebox 1.4 to zentyal 2.2.
I have read the howto but I have 1000 users: have you any hints how to update them in the ldif file?
Or the only solution is a perl script?
