I guess this solidifies our decision to move to Nethserver.
Does anybody know of a tool to migrate from Zentyal to Nethserver?

Installation and Upgrades / Updating Zentyal 5.0 breaks my server

Hi all,
I have a 5.0.x installation of Zentyal. I try to update the server from the management console, but it breaks the installation. I see a lot of samba errors. Is there any kind of guide to move all of my data to the new version on a clean server?
Thanks for any advise.

This lack of support is got me seriously contemplating moving to Nethserver.
If anybody has any idea on dovecot and sieve, please let me know.

Installation and Upgrades / moving spam email to spam folder.
« on: May 25, 2019, 07:33:18 pm »
Hi,
I just updgraded from 4.0 to 5.0, and can't update to 6.0, because it breaks my server.
In any case I am using Zentyal 5.0. The update has broken the way I was moving emails marked as SPAM by the mail filters into the users spam folder.
So I had a sieve.sogo file in every user's /var/vmail/domain.com/user folder and that would move the files that had SPAM headings into the spam folder.
Is there some other way that I can accomplish this in 5.0 either at the user or global level?
Thanks for any help..

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 4 PDC or outlook exchange connection does not work!
« on: April 03, 2015, 01:24:36 am »
Hi all,
Even though I think zentyal is built on top of great opensource software, it still falls shorts on its promise. I have it up as a PDC for one domain and openchange is correctly set up, or according to the documentation available.
pop, imap and web client works well. However, as soon as I try to join a computer to the domain, or set up outlook with an exchange type of account everything goes bad. I am able to setup the exchange account and I can see some of my emails when I initially connect, however no new emails show up. After I close and open outlook again, outlook can not find the exchange server and from there nothing I do fixes the issue.
I have tried to join the domain in a windows pro7 workstation it appears to find the server, and ask for credentials, I supply the Administrator credentials, and again nothing, keeps on asking for username and password. I think once the credentials went through, but got another error message.
I really had my hopes up to replace an exchange server with this server, but it falls short where it counts. Are the PDC and exchange services reserved for paying customers? I don't see that in the docs anywhere, if it is not, and paying customers are paying for this, I don't know how zentyal can call this an exchange replacement??
Not sure where to go from here? Has anybody successfully configure this as a PDC/exchange server?
