I have an idea, but I don't know if it is a good idea
I would transfer the fsmo roles to zentyal. Now your Zentyal AD is the main AD. You should take a look at these commands:
'samba-tool fsmo transfer' AND 'samba-tool fsmo seize'
See: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Flexible_Single-Master_Operations_%28FSMO%29_roles
Now you can shutdown your other AD. All data will be on the Zentyal AD.
Maybe you have to install DNS on Zentyal, if your old AD was DNS too.

I'm happy to hear that.
If you install the above plug-ins, then Thunderbird automatically synchronizes all of SOGo. For example:
All calenders (your personal calendars, your subscribed calendars,...), all address books and so on.
This means you need only initially set up your mail and the plugins get all other data (calendars, addresses) from the server. If you're looking to mess via the web portal on SOGo a new calendar, it will automatically sync with Thunderbird (at the next start). So you do not need to add a new WebDav calendar in Thunderbird.
I hope you understand what I mean

Danach ging alles

Hi,
yes it works. I'm using Zentyal 4 and Thunderbird 31.3 with Sogo Integrator, Sogo Connector and Mozilla Lightning Calendar.
It works great, but there is one known bug: "After adding a new task, you have to refresh the calendar. Otherwise the new task is not shown "

Sorry, I have no idea how to help you. I've installed zentyal the last days without problems. (As additional domain controller, the pdc is a Win2012 with domain level 2008)

I'm sorry for you!
It's been days since I've tested the Zentyal server. But 3 weeks ago, it works with my PDC (but there were still a lot of bugs). When I find some time, I will test it again.
Can you post your log?
Can you tell me your system configuration (Windows Server, DNS Server, extern DC...)

I'm sorry I didn't reply to you sooner.
I found some problems in your log, but I can't promise you, that this solves your problem.
First error I found is a ntp problem. Active Directory react damageable to a wrong time:
Another error is the nsupdate (DNS):

- Can you try to run command "/usr/sbin/ntpdate 0.pool.ntp.org" in terminal. Can you run this cmd sucessfully?
- Can you run command "nslookup <your server>" for example "nslookup myserver.home.lan" and post the result?

Have you installed the newest version of Zentyal (all updates installed?)
I've successfully connected Zentyal 4 as additional DC to Windows Server 2012 R2 (domain level 2008)
Can you post the zentyal.log?

Update:
No error when joining the domain and command "samba-tool fsmo show" is working now. There was a problem with the Win 2012 R2 PDC <==> Samba 4
But unhandled exception still exists when enabling the openchange for a user!

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Provisioning Zentyal 4.0 for OpenChange after joining existing Samba AD PDC
« on: December 16, 2014, 04:06:17 pm »
Hi,
please use the WebGui to join as additional AD controller.
After that, you have to provision the OpenChange.
>> /usr/sbin/openchange_provision --standalone
This should solve the provision problem.
But Zentyal 4 seems buggy in combination with an external domain controller. I could not get up OpenChange on Zentyal 4 with an additional AD
