Installation and Upgrades / Bug with DNS on Zentyal 3.3.4 - and a Work Around

Hi

I probably found a bug... Well.. It is not exactly a bug...
But, many Microsoft network admins usually put an underscore ( _ ) on there server name...
In my case server_ad...
Bind 9 do not allowed underscore when set a new record on bind zone.

With this behavior, I am unabe to join a AD domain, where the server name inclue underscore...

So, I put this lines:

check-names master ignore;
check-names slave ignore;
check-names response ignore;

on /usr/share/zentyal/stubs/dns/named.conf.options.mas

This is a work around, but work here for me...

I am currently use zentyal 3.3 and I noticed that I can't clone any rules, whatever firewall, proxy or any others...
Is there some fix for that?

Alguém conhece algum monitor de skype, pra fazer gravação nem que seja somente do chat em modo texto??

Lembro que no tempo do MSN tinhamos o IMSPector... Mas este não funciona com o skype infelizmente.

Qualquer ajuda é bem vinda.

Portuguese / Firewall com 2 lan's distintas

Olá pessoal...

Tenho aqui um Zentyal 3.2 como gateway e duas lan's: 10.1.1.0 e 10.0.0.0

Acontece que não quero que as redes conversem entre si.

Por isso adicionei uma regra para impedir qualquer comunicação entre as redes mas a regra não funciona.

Criei dois objetos, lan1 = 10.0.0.0 e lan2 = 10.1.1.0.

No firewall, em Filter rules for internal network, eu coloquei uma regra para bloquear (deny - negar) a comunicação, assim:

Decisão             Origem          Destino              Descrição

Negar                 lan1              lan2                   Qualquer
Negar                 lan2              lan1                   Qualquer

Mas a regra não funciona... O Firewall está no VMWare ESXi 5. Estou desconfiado de algo no VSwitch... Sei lá...
Os clientes são duas maquinas com Windows XP normal...

Eu fiz testes com o Zentyal virtualizado em um Virtualbox e 2 VM com WIndows XP e funcionou... Porém no VMWare não funciona.

Agora estou pegando um equipamento e fazendo os testes com servidor físico.

Alguém tem alguma outra dica??

Installation and Upgrades / Deny forward between different lan's

Hello

I have here a VMware VM running Zentyal 3.2 and create on VMWare 2 lan's, like 10.1.1.0 and 10.0.0.0.
I create two network object to identify those lan's and set it on the Firewall, creating a rule to deny all communication between those LAN's but de rule doesn't works...
When I running MSDOS with ping command to other LAN, like from 10.1.1.1 to 10.0.0.1, the ping works pretty well...

But, I also try it on VirtualBox with 3 VM's, one Zentyal and two Windows XP, and work very well...

I wanna know if that some tricks to do about VMWare or VSwitch in order to make this scenario work on VMWare environment...

I also try it with Zentyal 3.3 and the results is the same: Works on VirtualBox and do not work on VMWare ESXi 5....

Now I'll try it in physical equipament, and post the results laters....

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 3.3 and samba with latin characters

Hello guys and specially Zentyal Team...

Even with the last version of Zentyal, we still running trouble with latin characters...

The definition on [homes] samba smb.conf files is still like this:

[homes]
    comment = Diretórios Home

when we use latin language, like Brazilian Portuguese...

As we know, Samba not accept such behavior, I meant, Samba don't work with latin characters...

I make some time ago, a little patch to fix the original Zentyal smb.conf, like this one:


#!/bin/bash
cp /etc/samba/smb.conf /etc/samba/smb.conf-bkp

cat -v /etc/samba/smb.conf | sed s'/DiretM-srios Home/Diretorio Home/'g > /tmp/smb.fix

cat /tmp/smb.fix > /etc/samba/smb.conf

rm -rf /tmp/smb.fix

So I put this shell script in /etc/zentyal/post-save and everytime the samba module restart, the script fix the original smb.conf file...

But, I wonder if Zentyal can implement stuff like this on the code...

- Proxy Rules

to act like a redudance firewall...

May I explain...

I want to create two Zentyal Servers one to be a backup of another Zentyal!...

Hello...

I set quota to an user that I add and seems to me that not work.

When I set the quota, I get this error:

2013/10/16 13:35:45 ERROR> User.pm:357 EBox::Users::User::_setFilesystemQuota - Cannot set quota for uid 3000043 to 1. Maybe your file system does not support quota?

I figure out that when I install Zentyal, I choose advanced options, like XFS Filesystem.
But the installer do not set XFS with quota support in /etc/fstab...

The installer set as defaults,userquota,grpquota... And XFS works with uquota,gquota...

That is a Zentyal error ou Ubuntu installer error???

/dev/mapper/adserver--vg-root   /   xfs   defaults,usrquota,grpquota   0   1

Hello all....


I tried used Zentyal 3.3 and Openchange in a fresh installation...
The system work pretty well... But when I tried add some user, I'm able to see the user in the Samba4 base using pdbedit -L but not in the webinterface... Like the image I send...

Some one have the same issu???
