Installation and Upgrades / Re: Design Flaw: PPPoE in 1.4
« on: March 16, 2010, 01:16:25 am »
In fact they are also fixed in 1.4 (ebox-firewall 1.4.3).

My bad. I just checked trunk :). So fro could you try upgrade to ebox-firewall 1.4.3 to see if that solves the issue?

Thanks

The connection_read thing is debug info from slapd. It's harmless unless your logrotate is not working. We'll try to get rid of it in due course.

Although It'd be great If anyone of you come  up with fix before :)

Thanks!

USB support in 1.4 is broken that's why there's a ticket on our 1.4-main milestone:

http://trac.ebox-platform.com/ticket/1766

I've just added  a few lines to it to clarify it.

It's on our radar and we will take care of it at due course.

There's a bug with the MAC filter. You can't use MAC filter based rules until we fix that. If you are not using MAC filters but network addresses the most likely thing is you are adding the network address in the wrong place -either interface or source/destination-.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Why is eBox so slow? (Debian)
« on: March 05, 2010, 11:33:41 am »
IIRC debian and ubuntu store the information related to LDAP authentication in different places. eBox will configure /etc/nsswitch.conf to use LDAP, if the LDAP authentication info is not correctly set in /etc/ldap.conf or whereever debian stores it it won't work properly.

If you have installed ebox-samba the most likely thing is you have an issue with the LDAP configuration that makes running sudo commands very slowly.

You can also run it from console with the following command to try figure out what's going wrong:

Code: [Select]
/usr/share/ebox-ebackup/ebox-remote-ebackup --full

Fixed it.

I've uploaded ebox-samba 1.5.1 to our repo. And also I've filed a bug with a patch and asked sponsorship to upload the fix to the ubuntu repo.

Recuerda que eBox funciona sobre Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. El repositorio de eBox es ebox y sus dependencias, nada más.

It worked when we uploaded the packages. If that's happening that means the ubuntu guys have uploaded a new samba package.

In your previous post I see a lot of warnings and notice  but not actual failures. How is it failing?
