Installation and Upgrades / Roaming profile won't sync
« on: March 31, 2010, 02:46:05 am »
I have a couple Windows 7 boxes using a ebox samba server as the domain controller. I've got it set up for roaming profiles via the E-box control page.
One of the users' profile stopped syncing. They got a "profile not synchronized fully upon logging out. See activity log or system administrator for more details."
What's the best way to fix this? I back stuff up regularly, so I can usually recreate files.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Installation and Upgrades / Deleted/added samba users on command line but not getting synchronized with Ebox
« on: March 31, 2010, 02:42:41 am »
I used the ebox webpage to delete a user. I then readded the user using "smbpasswd -a USER", but received an error that the user already existed. How can I permanently delete/add samba users with Ebox?
Do I need to user the web page or the command line? This user is also a UNIX user on the ebox server. I did not delete the unix user, but redeleted the user with "smbpasswd -x USER" and still could not add the user via the webpage.
Thanks,
Obitori

Installation and Upgrades / Re: samba: Windows 7 the trust relationship between this workstation and the primary
« on: February 28, 2010, 05:25:29 am »
I've installed Ebox 1.4 with smbd 3.4.5. I cannot get my Windows 7 Pro clients to join my Samba PDC domain (BEACH). I've synced my windows box to the same NTP server. I added the DNS keys
I followed these instructions:
http://trac.ebox-platform.com/wiki/Document/HowTo/Windows7Support
I also tried changing netlogon keys for RequireSignOrSeal and RequireStrongKey to false ("0").
Finally, I changed the SECPOL.MSC Local Policies/Security Options/Network Security/LAN Manager authentication level to Send LM & NTLM - Use NTLM2 Session Security if Negotiated.
Still, I get the domain trust error and can't log onto the Samba PDC. My ebox settings are correct.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Obitori
