1 We abandoned connecting Outlook via MAPI as it would plague the user with logon requests and certificate errors.
Logon requests migh be due to samba crashes and many of them should be fixed in current version.
Certificate errors will only happen if you don't import the CA certificate into the client trusted CA's (or use stubs to configure a commercial wildcard certificate)
2 No facility for IMAP clients to set "out of office" easily.
I don't consider this is true. I have configured OOF using Thunderbird "Sieve" Extension. OOF in webmail has been removed as its use would remove any other mail filter previously set (really bad, true, but not our fault, sorry). Still if you intended to use it you might do so reenabling through a custom stub.
3 No way to whitelist email addresses easily.
Whitelisting and Mail Filter features are only available on commercial versions
4 SAMBA performance is excruciatingly slow. We had intended to use Zentyal as a file server but had to replace it with workstation shares as the performance was so bad.
There are many people using it andthey have not complained about this. Anyway, as I have not seen the environment, I cannot judge which might be the cause, but I'm sure this is no reproducible at all scenarios

Posiblemente tengas /boot lleno. Deberas hacer limpieza de kernels antiguos para liberar espacio, y programarte una tarea mensual de limpieza

Versions which need this reg patch (older than 3.0) are not longer supported. Nevertheless you should be able to find it on samba wiki.

En ambas plantillas, debes tener la linea:
acl SSL_ports port 444
Esto debería ser suficiente.
la directiva Safe_ports es solo para tráfico http. Por tanto si es https debes usar SSL_ports. Evidentemente tienes que reiniciar el módulo después del cambio.

This is because in order to apply this change samba needs to be reprovisioned, as this value is stored on several (lots of) samba dfatabases and if not, it would be impossible to change it

I would suggest first understanding what's is around this change:
Zentyal 3.x: mail is stored under /var/vmail/<domain>/<user>/
Zentyal 4.x: mail is stored under /var/vmail/<domain>/<user>/Maildir
(if I remember correctly).
Therefore I wouls suggest checking (probably with a test user) where emails are and if moving them to Mailbox folder works ffor you. Remember that files and folders owner must be ebox

4.2 esta centrada en bugfixing fundamentalmente. No contamos con una lista concreta de correcciones o mejoras, pero esta debería hacerse pública en las próximas semanas (una vez los desarrolladores confirmen la viabilidad de alguna de ellas)
