Installation and Upgrades / IDS does not start
« on: August 02, 2012, 03:48:29 pm »
After a reboot of the server i've noticed that the IDS service was stopped. I've tried to restart it but it doesn't start. As far as I can see it's not running for a few weeks now. I tried to start it manually with "/etc/init.d/snort start" but it failed. The log says something about exit value 3.
The server is on subscription and it says there are no updates available.

Our server disconnected 8 days ago (Sun, 22 Jan 2012 03:02:04 +0100) and never connected again. What's best to do? A restart or something else?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Restore to folder with quote in foldername
« on: January 09, 2012, 12:12:05 pm »Yes, I can confirm this bug, keep tuned to the release a new version of the backup module, but you should be able to restore the parent folder or use the command line interface. Can you tell me on which version of the backup module this is fixed? I've tried this on our production server with Zentyal 2.2.4 64-bit installed and still get's the error. The command line works fine, so restore is not a problem for me. My colleagues prefer the interface...

I did some further testing on the server. I opened a terminal session and with the duplicity command I can restore the file. It's necessary to put a backslash before the quote as christian suggested. This worked:
/home/users/patrick/Photo\'s/Photo.jpg
/home/users/patrick/Photo\'s/Photo.jpg

I've checked the version of zentyal-ebackup and it was 2.2.1. After that I've updated (community updates) to version 2.2.2 of zentyal-ebackup and I've got the same message that the folder doesn't exist. Since we have quite a lot of folders with a quote (also from our customers) it would be nice if this can be fixed.

I've recently installed Zentyal 2.2-1 (32 bits), a fresh install on a testserver. I didn't update yet but as fas i can see there are no updates for the backup module. Is there a way I can check that?

Hello Christian,
I've used the restore function (local backup) from the user interface. I can filter the filename but when selected it can't be restored. I used this because it's easy for colleagues in case they need to restore a file when i'm not at work.

Installation and Upgrades / Restore to folder with quote in foldername
« on: November 23, 2011, 09:10:47 am »
Hello,
We have been trying Zentyal as a replacement for our current server and so far almost everything went as expected. The only thing I've noticed is a problem with restoring a file to a folder with a quote ' in the name. As example:
/home/users/patrick/myPhoto.jpg
/home/users/patrick/Photo's/Photo.jpg
I can restore myPhoto.jpg but not Photo.jpg. The message I see is that the folder "/home/users/patrick/Photo's" does not exist.
