Installation and Upgrades / Re: Master/slave instalation failed.
« on: October 28, 2009, 02:49:31 pm »
Hm... Maybe your way is better, but i just add /etc/apparmor.d/disabled/ folder, and everything begin to work. When Users & Groups module bring up in this folder i find link to /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.slapd.

And about release, when we will can see it? Now i try to integrate 1.3 BETA in my network, and this word "BETA" is not the best =))

Installation and Upgrades / Master/slave instalation failed.

Now i have installed eBox-master server with ebox-useradngroups only, and eBox-slave server with ebox-mail module.
From installation guard i have done this steps:
On master side i have configured master mode.
On slave side i entered master-ldap password and master IP.
BUT, when i try to enable Users and Groups module i can see just this:
Code: [Select]
A really nasty bug has occurred

As i can understand apparmor packege we have removed from slave while installing it, so why i can get this message?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Got it to work
« on: October 19, 2009, 04:07:57 pm »
BIG EDIT!!!

Ok. I got it to work now. It now stores a copy in the mailbox, what I did was

1. sudo nano /etc/postfix/virtual
2. added the mail addresses to forward. ie   test@mydomain.com   pepe@hotmail.com,test@mydomain.com
3. Save the file and edit the line virtual_alias_maps in /etc/postfix/main.cf. The original is:
     virtual_alias_maps = ldap:valiases     change it to     virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual, ldap:valiases

4. Run: sudo postmap /etc/postfix/virtual, then reload postfix: sudo postfix reload

And thats it, now all mail to test@mydomain.com goes to pepe@hotmail.com and a copy is stored for the original destination.

I think it's beter to edit not "/etc/postfix/main.cf" but "/usr/share/ebox/stubs/mail/main.cf.mas", isn't it?

Installation and Upgrades / eBox-Desktop and user's Printers.
« on: September 21, 2009, 03:34:07 pm »
First a wall, i want to said big thanks for this project, it's realy great...

Now, after two weeks of experiments and tests i have good LDAP server with great network configuration. All modules work great, but all of this need to clients and my good state of mind =)). For the client's comp i took Ubuntu 9.04 with eBox-desktop package. Mail, jabber and samba modules work fine, but i can't to add any printers from eBox server... I have tried all type of connections printers to machine without effect. I try to find answer from forum, but without effect the same way...

Is it here somebody who can explain me, HOW TO add printers to client's machines? Is it some way to add printers to client automatically from LDAP and only that allow to use him in LDAP base?

P.s: sorry for my English, i know it's not the best...

I have install and bring up the eBox server, add user and give him an email address, everything is fine, BUT... when I try to modify maildir size I receive the answer:

we're sorry

    * If you typed the URL manually, please check it
    * Maybe a change in eBox's configuration or software made no longer available the requested page

So does it not work, or i have done something wrong?
