Installation and Upgrades / Re: OpenChange not work
« on: January 03, 2014, 08:47:39 pm »
Good evening,

With regards to the OpenChange failure you experiment with Zentyal, can you enable the debugging in

System -> Debug and check the  box.

This would send us apport report upon significant openchange failure you might encounter.

Br,
Julien.

That's mean Zentyal Server will be always belated over Ubuntu at least 4 months, does it?

Yes. More or less.

if that so; Zentyal Server 3.4 will release at Feb. 2014, does it?

No. Zentyal Server 3.4 development will be frozen on mid Feb 2014, but will be released on March, 15th 2014: http://www.zentyal.org/roadmap/zentyal-3-4-roadmap/

Hi!
I have the same problem with 12.04.3 LTS, when I want to install zentyal-all.
When I choose packages, I cannot install zentyal-openchange and zentyal-bandwithmonitor, because of unmelt depenencies problems.

See also my posting: http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,19519.0.html

Hi Michael,

Should be fixed for zentyal-openchange too now.

Br,
Julien.

Problem fixed.

This was caused by the sope packages in our repo.

Good afternoon,

We have reproduced this issue in our testing environment and we presume the problem shall have been caused by a recent upgrade of Ubuntu packages. We are currently investigating the issue - targeting a fix asap. You can follow the updates in the following trac ticket:

http://trac.zentyal.org/ticket/7952

Hi,

Actually the policy applies but the online documentation presumably requires an update.

It states that next community edition will be based over new Ubuntu standard release (non LTS) if and only if the Ubuntu release is available before the start of the new Zentyal development cycle. Zentyal server 3.3 development cycle has started on October 5th with Ubuntu 12.04.03 LTS. Zentyal Server 3.4 has started on December 16th and will be based over Ubuntu 13.10.

Julien.

It does work and was tested with Microsoft Outlook 2003 and Microsoft Outlook 2007.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: SOGo WWW

We disable SOGo Web UI by default because we are providing a Roundcube interface in place of SOGo default one.

If you are however specifically looking for this UI, there is no restrictions. You just need to do it manually.

Hi,

Your samba.log and zentyal.log would be helpful for us to provide you a better diagnostic.

87
Do you experience this issue with the new Zentyal Server 3.3 release?

Br,
Julien.

88
Hi,

You need to grant access to OpenChange for the user prior you can log through roundcube or Outlook. Unless you do so, the user is in the Active Directory but is not granted access to Microsoft Exchange compatible services (webmail with openchange modules included).

Follow Step 2 of the following guide:
http://labs.zentyal.org/part-ii-install-configure-zentyals-technology-preview-of-native-ms-exchange-replacement/

If you want to enable OpenChange by default for any newly created user, you can adjust the OpenChange account directly from the user template.

Does this help/Fix your problem?
