Installation and Upgrades / Vhost Help

Hello all, I am hoping someone can help me.
I would like to create some virtual hosts to go to some users home folder using the per user public html option.

e.g. www.bob.com to load user bob html website from his folder.

here's what I have done so far, I have enabled the per user option and created the virtual hosts in the gui.

I have looked from the guide and it says: it is possible to apply a customised Apache configuration to each Virtual host by adding a file to the /etc/apache2/sites-available/user-ebox-<domain>/ directory.

so from what I can see I need to create a file called home, but it doesn't say what extension to use so I am guessing .conf, if that's the case home.conf goes into /etc/apache2/sites-available/user-ebox-www.bob.com/.

once I do that what would I put in the config file.

Installation and Upgrades / ftp ssl connection error

hi all, hoping someone can help me, i am running the newest version of zentyal 3.3.2 and i have enabled ftp server and changed ssl too allow ssl, i have enabled port 20 and 21 as i have seen in the services firewall rule on the router and forwarded to my zentyal server.

i am trying to connect to my zentyal server over the internet using a ftp client, i can connect fine via normal ftp, but as soon as i try and connect via ssl using port 21 i get: ERR Couldn't connect to "SERVER IP": SSL is not available on this server.
ERR Some errors were detected when testing the FTP settings.

i have looked on the zentyal documents but they are not much help, doesent explain what ports are needed (if any differnet from 21) when using ssl or any client settings needed to conect via ssl, so really hoping someone can help, unless its a bug?

Installation and Upgrades / webmail wont login when openchange is installed

hi, i am on the new version of zentyal 3.3, i have openchange setup and my webmail wont logon i tried username and i get logon failed i also tried username@domain.com but comes up with a message that i have logged out sucessfully, even though i said to login not log out.

i dont know if this is related but, i have my users setup to use @domain.com instead of @domain.lan, thereis no openchange tab there when i have it setup like that.

can anyone help, thanks.

hello all, used to run iredmail and it had roundcube with a autoresponder (sends a mail if not in office)
but its not on the roundcube that comes with zentyal, is there a way to put it in, if so is it easy to do.

Hi all i am hoping someone can help me i have setup backup to a internal hdd and it works fine but it isn't doing share, after reading up it says you have to add includes but doesn't tell me what i need to add in the includes for all my domain stuff web server, mysql server roaming profiles, shares groupware and email stuff.

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 3.2 Zafara Webaccess Spell Checker Error (Bug?)

I have zentyal 3.2 and installed the groupware package, i create a new email in the webaccess webmail and i click on check spelling, i then get the following error message and it doesent work:

Error executing `/usr/bin/aspell -a --lang=en_EN --encoding=utf-8 -H --rem-sgml-check=alt < /tmp/aspell_data_3BlIbP 2>&1`
Error: No word lists can be found for the language "en_EN".

Installation and Upgrades / zentyal 3.3 and openchange external email address issue

Hello, sorry i posted this in support as well because was not sure where this should be, so please delete the one in the wrong place. i am hoping someone can help me, i have followed this: http://laboratory.zentyal.org/install-configure-zentyals-technology-preview-of-native-ms-exchange-replacement/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=sm&utm_campaign=tutorial.ms.exchange.replacement
and setup zentyal 3.3 and openchange and its all up and running and working well. The issue i am having is i have my @domain.lan is displayed on sending email to hotmail instead of my @domain.com. I have setup my .lan and .com in virtual domains and my user has email domain.lan, the Mail address is domain.lan and mail alias is domain.com.
I have tried doing it the opposite way around but the OpenChange Account tab from user dissappears and it still sends emails as the domain.lan

Installation and Upgrades / Email not sending from livemail and webmail has stopped working

Hello all i am hoping someone can help me, i have zentyal 3.0.2
i am trying to get windows live mail to work on sending emails, i have looked through the forum and tried things like changing port to 587 making sure ssl is enabled in live mail, i have setup and install a mail certificate thinking it might be that, but still wont send, this is the message i am getting: Recipient address rejected. it works fine from my iphone and outlook with tls enabled on outlook, iphone just set as ssl, but works and live mail doesent have a tls option for me to try.

The other issue is  i am getting:
DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator.

It was working fine when i first installed it on the admin panel, i logged in etc etc and it was fine, after restarting the server i got this error, just wondering if maybe mysql not loading or something, i am not a linux guru so not sure how to check for this as theres nothing in the admin panel for mysql, i am hoping someone on here can help me, many thanks all, michael.

Installation and Upgrades / pptp server and firewall issue

hi all, i am hoping someone can help me, i am using the latest version of zentyal server one a single nic setup, i have followed the guide on the website on setting up a pptp server, its setup by default in the firewall in the external to zentyal firewall rules
but i can connect to it, as soon as i disable the firewall it connects fine.
my local zentyal server ip is 192.168.0.2 and my pptp server address is 192.168.210.0/24 my primary name server is set as 192.168.0.2
i read somewhere that you are supposed to setup static routes or something, but i have no idea how to do this or what to put in the boxes, i am a total beginner with zentyal and would be greatful for any help i can get, many thanks, michael.
