I am trying to setup a fresh install of 3.5 on a virtual machine with digital ocean. I did a command line install. After installing i go to the web interface and enable open change and all its dependencies. I go to setup open change and i get the following message.

Your setup is not supported by Zentyal right now. You need either, have a MS Exchange installed already or provision OpenChange on the Samba server that manages the Active Directory schema. This server is not able to manage the schema, and thus cannot modify it to apply the required changes by OpenChange.

I have tried this several times and need this to work. Any help would be appreciated.

question. Regardless of how you get the box upgraded since zarafa is replaced does the upgrade move accounts and mail to the new system? Will i loose users email?

shares is empty. Since i created a files share should there be a files directory? I created the folder files and gave it the same permissions as the above folders but still can not log in.

I have setup the file sharing module and it seems to be working fine except i can not log in. I am on Ubuntu and when i connect to my server i get an authentication box but no matter what combination of user password and domain i put in it will not let me log in. I have looked though all the documentation and can not find excatly i need. I want file shares but i do not want computers joined to the domain. I just want user to put in the smb url and then authenticate and load up files. Can anyone give me some direction on this?

So i setup sendmail to relay by adding

# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSmail.collinssolutions.com

I then added my IP address for the web server in relay policy to allow relay from that address

port 25 not working either. I am guessing it has to do with my sendmail setup. I have tried several different settings and nothing is working. I will keep working and post any results i get.

Sorry i will try to be more clear. Zentyal is working fine. I have groupware on and all my users are recieving and sending email just fine. I have a second server that we use for our web sites. I have php scripts installed that need to be able to send mail. Before i switched to zentyal i had sendmail on the web server configured to relay mail to smtp.live.com but now i need to setup that relay to go to my zentyal server so it can deliever the mails. I have tried to setup sendmail to relay to zentyal but its not working. I have setup a relay policy for my web servers mac and ip address and still mails are not flowing from the web server to zentyal.

After working on it last night I am going to try and see if its an error with the self signed cert i have on zentyal.

I have a ubuntu web server that i would like to setup to relay mails from sites, as in mail() function. I have tried several tutorials on sendmail and others to setup a relay to my zentyal server. I have the ip of my web server listed as alls relay but i still can not get it to work. I have another side i use that has the ability to setup smtp via the admin but i am not sure what the settings are for smtp on my zentyal server. I am using the groupware module for email. Any tips or pointers would be appreciated.

I am using the groupware option. Activated it after I installed the communications suite.
