Installation and Upgrades / fetchmail, how to read the mails
« on: September 24, 2009, 11:08:43 am »
Hi,

I configured my ebox as per the instructions at http://forum.ebox-platform.com/index.php?topic=892.0

It looked though it retrieved 45 mail from isp. but could not find them through thunderbird  ???
Thunderbird inbox shows empty inbox. ??? Thunderbird is configured to access the ebox.

Is there a way i can track location where fetchmail kept them?

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the reply. It did help me.

I found later there is a backup facility under system/backup where you can take a backup of ebox configuration, and restore later. Hope that is a better way.

EBOX INSTALLATION AS MAIL GATEWAY WITH SMTP AUTHENTICATION AND FETCHMAIL

.
.
.
Setup fetchmail scheduling

Type "cd /etc"
Type "sudo nano crontab"

At the end add the following new line

Code: [Select]
*/10 *  * * *   eboxadmin   fetchmail
.
.
.

Is the "eboxadmin" in crontab stands for ebox administrative user name? or is the default administrative user name itself is "eboxadmin" ?

Thanks
