deswegen hab ich ja auch den "zwinker" dran gehängt....
ich wollte dir in keiner weise "zu nahe treten" o.ä.  sorry!

ich hab auch ne Brille, aber das "Problem" den Wald vor lauter Bäumen ..... -> kenne ich nur zu gut. muss also nedd immer am perspicillum (lat.) liegen. deswegen mag ich die opensource so gerne. reger Austausch und gemeinsames lernen....

all you need to do is add the following line to the sudoers file in /etc/sudoers
user_name   ALL=(ALL) ALL
Replace user_name with your own user ID
however, you have to use the visudo command to edit the file while being root
so, here is what you need to do:
open a new terminal
switch to root, type "su" then enter the root password
type "visudo" and you will see the sudoers file opened for editting
go to the end of the file and type the line
user_name  ALL=(ALL) ALL
Again, Make sure you replace user_name with your own user ID
then hold the CTRL key and press "o" to save the file and confirm by pressing enter
now hold CTRL key and press "x" to exit the program
type "exit" to exit root mood
then now type sudo gedit and enter your password
if everything went well, you should see the gedit program

2 from 3 zentyal server - allways lost connect to zentyal cloud... in the logfiles of the affected servers came the msg:
(this 2 server stand NOT on the same place/network/ISP !!)

what can i do for a stable connect to the zentyal cloud

I assume you download the 64bit version from zentyal.... 

Choose the version you prefer (32-bit or 64-bit version) and download the latest stable version of Zentyal.

This Problem was described in the UBUNTU Server Forum.

i only can imagine this for my:

1. give the folder /home (on zentyal) exactly the same user/group rights as the /home/$userfolder
2. go to your Linux Client and edit the fstab to mount the /home folders from zentyal

i imagine too: on this client you can see/use all user folders under /home ?! maybe you can post it here?!

if i set up linux clients whit his own /home folder - i use smb browse (difficulty in many distros) or the absolute file path. after login i set a bookmark in nautlilus/PCManFM

also wenn wir das "hier" in berlin machen würden - ich würde c-base anfragen. nen beamer ham die da auch. aber nur wir beide?! ....  (https://www.c-base.org/)

es gibt hier nen "jugendclub" der ein paar betten hat. kann ich fragen was die kosten. in chemnitz kenn ich nix der gleichen. aber da gibt es indoor camping (uni turnhalle) für "zweifuffzich" die nacht.

auf dem ltz. LinuxTag in Berlin war Zentyal auch mit einem Vortrag Vertreten... leider hab ich den verpasst.... 

wär ja schön wenn jemensch "von zentyal" dabei wäre?!

meine radio software (http://projects.gnome.org/rhythmbox/) hat einen regler mit dem ich festlegen kann wie viel (kb) zwischen gespeichert werden sollen....

ich weiß nicht ob zentyal son guter media-server ist.  aber ok, ich mag ja auch am liebsten "die ebox für alles" nutzen. wenn du den proxy optimieren willst, schau dir mal den Artikel hier an:

kannste mal nen nmap (portscan) vom client auf den server machen? gucken ob der port offen ist.
wenn der port nicht offen ist kannst du im zentyal GUI eine regel hinzufügen.
