Is it possible to authenticate an ubuntu desktop against ebox in ad slave mode?

As anyone done it? Any reason not to work?

Can I do it through ldap? Or do I have to go through winbind?

Thanks in advance,
João Miguel Neves

I can now add user without problems.

I went to the console and did an apt-get install --reinstall ebox-asterisk

Are there any suggestions on how to fix this? Maybe reinstall the asterisk module?

Just to make sure we're on the same page: you're trying to connect to an external pop3 server, and it works if you don't go through ebox, but fails if you have ebox in the middle, right?

Can you tell which rules you have in UTM -> Firewall -> Filtering rules for internal networks?

Is your email client configured to use SSL? That would use port 995, not 110.

Can you check the version of eBox - Firewall in Core -> Software Management -> eBox componentes? Latest is 1.2.2-0ubuntu1~ppa1~hardy1.

Which client are you using (operating system, mail software)? Any anti-virus?

Last time that happened to me, the anti-virus was filtering the connection and preventing it from working.
