Installation and Upgrades / Re: Ham/Spam learning accounts
« on: May 10, 2012, 03:32:33 pm »
Hi!

I am in the same situation. Using Zarafa and the ham/spam account weren't created. Could you please describe me what did you (or the dev member) do to make it work?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there... Take a look at http://trac.zentyal.org/ticket/3331

I believe its comment 7 or 9 that says what to do, but read the whole thing. Its been working great so far :)

Hope this helps!

Installation and Upgrades / Re: ClamAV out of date error
« on: April 21, 2012, 08:15:56 pm »
Zentyal comes with Ubuntu Lucid ClamAV version. As new versions are published, some new signatures cannot be recognized by the engine of the current version of ClamAV, but this doesn't mean that the AV is not updated, is only that eventually some paterns of the updates won't be recognized but the others will still work.

Keeping the same version of ClamAV is the standard behavior of any stable Linux distro.

Hi again,

While I understand what you are saying, I don't fully agree with the rational.

For example... If I had a Windows machine (Which I don't), and my OS vendor was telling me that the same old version of antivirus was "OK" to use, I would find another OS. Its rediculous to assume that the same old version of an antivirus is going to protect our computers when daily vairants are discovers more often than using the restroom every day. Now, because we have old versions of ClamAV, we are getting black-listed from receiving updates!

Please update using the Ubuntu ClamAV ppa and lets be done with it... I tried this method, but the config files are different and cause a number of issues with Zentyal. Can you provide us with a back-ported version so we can stop getting errors every 10 min because we were blacklisted from receiving updates:

Hi All :)

I am getting the following error every night after anacron works its magic.

Any ideas on how to fix the error?

Code: [Select]
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
squid: ERROR: Could not send signal 10 to process 15554: (3) No such process
error: error running shared postrotate script for '/var/log/squid/*.log '
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1

It seems like after rotating the logs, squid tries to kill itself and restart, but cannot find the original pid in /var/run. Almost like it crashed and restarted and didn't update its pid file.

Just started happening this week. I do recall there was a remote services update that came across, so might be related. Here is the update log from April:

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I think I have it sorted out now. I got one of the devs to provide me with a ldap update that seems to have resolved the issue.

Thanks!

Hello

the SQL error I think is a consequence of this bug -> http://trac.zentyal.org/ticket/3898 (the ticket has recovery instructions)

An the EBox::Report::DiskUsage::partitionsFileSystems error is solved there -> https//trac.zentyal.org/ticket/3807 . To fix it change the line 404 of /usr/share/perl5/EBox/SysInfo.pm to call EBox::FileSystem::partitionsFileSystems () instead of EBox::Report::DiskUsage::partitionsFileSystem()

Regards,

Javier

Thanks, Javier!

I have made the changes you recommended and tried the daily cron job for amavisd (amavisd-new) and did not get any errors this time.

Will have to wait to test the other issue (Not sure which cron job run that script), but I will let you know if it worked or not tomorrow.

Thanks again for your help!

Oh, to answer your first question, no, I did not change anything. I just did an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade and the previously mentioned packages were upgraded.

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED]amavisd error after last upgrade
« on: March 04, 2012, 09:45:40 pm »
Hey all,

After the upgrade the other day:

Code: [Select]
Start-Date: 2012-03-02  11:23:01
Upgrade: zentyal-monitor (2.2.2, 2.2.3), zentyal-network (2.2.5, 2.2.6), zentyal-mailfilter (2.2, 2.2.1), zentyal-core (2.2.5, 2.2.6), zentyal-antivirus (2.2, 2.2.1), zentyal-ids (2.2.1, 2.2.2), zentyal-ebackup (2.2.2, 2.2.3), zentyal-software (2.2.2, 2.2.3), zentyal-squid (2.2.2, 2.2.4), zentyal-remoteservices (2.2.3, 2.2.5)
End-Date: 2012-03-02  11:24:37

I am now getting these errors in cron.daily:

Code: [Select]
/etc/cron.daily/amavisd-new:
bayes: database version 0 is different than we understand (3), aborting! at /usr/share/perl5/Mail/SpamAssassin/BayesStore/SQL.pm line 142.
bayes: database version 0 is different than we understand (3), aborting! at /usr/share/perl5/Mail/SpamAssassin/BayesStore/SQL.pm line 189.
/etc/cron.daily/zentyal:
Undefined subroutine &EBox::Report::DiskUsage::partitionsFileSystems called at /usr/share/perl5/EBox/SysInfo.pm line 404.

Any idea of these are of any worry or just noisy cron jobs after the upgrade?

Thanks!
Joe

Installation and Upgrades / Re: ClamAV out of date error
« on: February 10, 2012, 11:26:07 pm »
Well, what some people have been doing, has been adding the Ubuntu ClamAV ppa and updating it that way, however, there are some additional modifications you have to do to config files for permissions and what not for it to work. I don't have the data in front of me atm, but its out there.

I'm quite shocked that none of the devs or administration has addressed this; especially since they sell the product and most people test it first before purchasing it. Failing antivirus software is not a great selling point to an open source software stack that is supposed to compete with Windows SBS.

I can understand if it was just another "Distro" that was supported by the community, but people pay for this and expect it to work.

Oh, well... Its still a good product, just a little rough around the edges ;).

Not me... Same error this morning in my logwatch reports...

Code: [Select]
WARNINGS:
    Local version: 0.96.5 Recommended version: 0.97.3: 18 Time(s)
Your ClamAV installation is OUTDATED!: 20 Time(s)
    Current functionality level = 58, recommended = 63: 2 Time(s)

Any ideas?

I had read that I can use a ClamAV PPA from Ubuntu, but if I am going to use one solution, I want to stay with that solution and not have to muddy my repos with outside sources... However, if there are going to be security risks with not having updated virus pattern files for my Windows users, then I will go ahead.

How about some Zentyal devs chime in and give some advice?

Thanks!
Joe
