Title: Recovery zentyal webserver password
Post by: fardatxo on October 14, 2010, 04:38:25 pm
Hi everyone!

We have an ebox system in our company like data server with samba. We used to create new users and groups by ebox web server interface. After an apache update that interface doesn't works, I looked for a solution and I tried to make an apt-get dist-upgrade,
After that everything was allright and the web interface works but the ebox logo, that was changed by Zentyal.

Then I tried to enter the interface with my usal user name and password but thas not works! I've tried with root and my root password too but neither...

So I tried to reconfigure the ebox package to have other new password with: dpkg-reconfigure ebox.

Then ask me the apache port, I left the default (https) port and it tells me is already in use, I continue anyway, he stops the apache server, restart it again and then an error happens:
rm: no se puede borrar <</var/lib/ebox/conf/redis.first>>: No existe el archivo o directorio.

rm: not possible to delete <</var/lib/ebox/conf/redis.first>>: File or directory doesn't exists.

Any suggestion????

Thanks a lot

OK I've solved!!!

I had to add root to the admin group with:
sudo adduser root admin
