Installation and Upgrades / Ldap Schema Asterisk 1.6. quick question
« on: March 19, 2010, 08:48:47 pm »

Hey all,

Quick question about the Ebox ldap schema for voip. Basically I have a PBX In A Flash "piaf" 1.6 setup more specifically PIAF + orgasmatron 5.2 http://nerdvittles.com/?p=675

Does anyone foresee any issues or have any feedback on mapping an Asterisk 1.6  on a different server to the LDAP on ebox? Since Ebox already has the schema to support extensions etc...

Thanks,
Styles

***Update***

Found a bug post in Ubuntu about this specific NIC driver, and the kernel. So I threw a different one in, and I'm able to use it.

Hello all,

I must be missing something, but I installed EBox configured with one NIC, and now to my test install I'm trying to get my other NIC activated.

Code: [Select]
root@test:~# modprobe e1000
root@test:~# tail dmesg
[ 3194.429213] Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - version 7.3.20-k2-NAPI
[ 3194.429218] Copyright (c) 1999-2006 Intel Corporation.

Then lshw shows

Code: [Select]
lshw -C network
  *-network UNCLAIMED
       description: Ethernet controller
       product: 82574L Gigabit Network Connection
       vendor: Intel Corporation
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci@0000:08:00.0
       version: 00
       width: 32 bits
       clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress msix bus_master cap_list
       configuration: latency=0

I think I need to add e1000 to /etc/modules and add eth1 to /etc/interfaces but they get overwritten and I'm unable to find the template files for those.

Any help would be great as I'm at a loss now o_O

Cheers,
E
