I've just installed ebox-platform 1.4 using their distro and I get the same messages on my syslog.
Although everything seems to be working I wonder where the problem lies.
Any help!?

I've found this on the OpenLDAP forums.
My slapd log is getting filled by 'no connection!' messages. Is that
avoidable?
slapd[23108]: connection_read(18): no connection!
Certainly, fix whatever client is disconnecting without unbinding.
The reason is that the connections are in a time_wait state because they were not closed properly.
Maybe the developers can help us with this. It seems one of ebox perl scripts are not unbinding properly.

still hunting?

I can confirm this Error:
new install everything active except the following firewall, mail filter, traffic shaping, DHCP, Proxy....
Mar 15 07:20:01 nx-pdc slapd[XXX]: connection_read(XX): no connection!
Mar 15 07:20:01 nx-pdc slapd[XXX]: connection_read(XX): no connection!
Mar 15 07:20:01 nx-pdc slapd[XXX]: connection_read(XX): no connection!
Mar 15 07:20:02 nx-pdc last message repeated 5 times
I'll poke around a bit on the Internet and see what I turn up if I have time, I will throw a bug report in later today or tomorrow.

The connection_read thing is debug info from slapd. It's harmless unless your logrotate is not working. We'll try to get rid of it in due course.
Although It'd be great If anyone of you come up with fix before :)
Thanks!

Looks like an open bug:
