« on: June 06, 2011, 06:29:38 am »
I spent all day setting up a fresh downloaded install of Zentyal 2.0.3i386 and then after a reboot I get a purple screen  with Ubuntu 10.04 written in the middle and a time bar forever moving.
I suspect a corrupted file somewhere or a broken distro.
any help plz.?????????????? :(

i have purchased 3 public IPs from ISP: 115.x.x.18, 115.x.x.19, 115.x.x.20
The IP 115.x.x.19 was assigned to a webserver previously and now i have assigned it to a newly installed zentyal server and
placed the webserver behind the zentyal and assigned it IP 192.168.1.3 with gateway 192.168.1.1 (zentyal LAN IP).

i have configured the zentyal as a gateway and set it for port forwarding to access the webserver from internet.
now when i try to access the webserver from IPs 115.x.x.18 or .20 (assigned to two PCs), it WORKS! however when i try to access the same webserver from internet, it does NOT work!...
it is strange to see such a thing happening as port forwarding works fine and firewall allows all traffic from internet to
zentyal and from internet to internal network and vice versa... in short, no traffic blocked at all.

Any Idea! why is it so? :o

Installation and Upgrades / port forwarding not working
« on: June 03, 2011, 08:43:50 am »
Hello friends,

I am a newbie to zentyal. I configured a zentyal 2.0 as a gateway and connected it to internet thus placing my webserver on the LAN interface of the zentyal.
i configured the port forwarding for port 80 on it and can see the logs showing 'REDIRECT' against the port 80 request however i am unable to access the  webserver from internet but working on LAN.  :-\

here is the scenario:

zentyal eth1 (WAN): 115.xx.xx.19 (previously connected to webserver and was working)
zentyal eth0 (LAN): 192.168.0.1
webserver LAN IP (connected to zentyal eth0): 192.168.0.2

port forwarding goes like this:

interface: eth1
original destination: 115.xx.xx.19
original destination port: 80
protocol: TCP/UDP
source: Any
destination IP: 192.168.0.2

Kindly assist me in resolving this issue and let me know if i am doing anything wrong in the port forwarding rules.
