Since the control web of Zentyal does not use Apache anymore to run the server administrator site even when Apache 2 is installed this application work not anymore on the workstation clients only on the server itsefs.

Hello,
We have a share with subshares in our school organisation, the share is accessible for a group of members the subshare is accessilbe fore a specific user. So the groep with acces to the main share can see all the subshares while the subshares only will be accessed bij a specific user who has access to the subshare.
It works alredy for several years.

It is verry easy to do
Edit sources.list file and add the lines for Zentyal
Apt-get update
i always work with root for installation of software
sudo passwd root
give several times passwoord in
apt-get install zenbuntu-desktop
apt-get install zentyal ( give here an account foor the zentyal gui )
See documentation on the Zential wiki website, you find there all the instructions.

Installation and Upgrades / Filemanager in the graphical environment

Hello,
In the graphical environment, PCManFM the file manager does not allow to view CD or USB drives or to connect to an other network on yhr lan. How could this be solved ? Is there documentaion of the configuration or updating thhe file manager ? This is happend when Zentyal is installed from the ISO cd.
Installing in command mode and also install zenbuntu-desktop has not that problem in this case the options CD USB drives etc works fine.

Hello,
Is there a posibility to restore a configuration backup from release 4.2 to a new server release 5.0 ?
Restoring configuration from 4.2 to 5.0 gives ab arror saying " could not restore from 4.2 ".
So this means a lot of work to upgrade from 4.2 to 5.0 when all the definitions must be re done.
Is there an other solution for configuration restoring ?

Dutch / Zentyal 5.0

Hello,
Ik heb zentyal 5.0 met de iso cd geïnstalleerd na de installatie is er geen netwerk connectie meer, is niet te verhelpen via the administrator gui van zentyal of het aanpassen van het bestand /etc/network/interfaces.
Installeren van zentyal 5.0 in command mode geeft hetzelfde probleem.

Hello,
Afther installation of zentyal release 5.0 from the iso installation cd the network connection is broken and can not be activated by adapting the file: /etc/network/interfaces or via the zentyal gui.
Install zentyal 5.0 in command mode has the same problem.

The command " sudo apt-get autoremove ", delete old versions .
Ubutu server 14.4 upgrade to 16.04 is not a good idea it result in an bad working of Zentyal.
The new release Zentyal 5.0 is coming soon now? this release works with ubuntu server 16.04 LTS.
