Installation and Upgrades / Cant access any shares after 3.3.4 update

after updating my production server last night all my shares including my "user share" have become inaccessible 

the only shared folder i can see is sysvol- can anyone recommend anything?
please i am desperate to fix this all the students cannot access any of their work!

Hi hope someone can help me- i have been banging my head agensed Google and the forums here!

i need to change a few users (60) passwords but cant seem to figure it out! i found a script to bulk change users passwords and thought i could modify it, but i was not successful!

please can somebody help me:

i am running zentyal 3.0.13 and everything is working quite nicely aside fro the network shares:

they all map including the home (set as P:) but when clicking on any of them i get an error- access denied. i have checked all the permissions and they seem alright     

can anyone help me or tell me what logs to look at?

Installation and Upgrades / file sharing with a symlink

i am setting up a server for a school and the teacher would like the students data sorted into \subject\grade\*students* - i thought of just using symlinks here instead of trying to move there data around! however i cant seem to access the folders 

i have followed instructions for enabeling symlinks on samba but still i get the windows permission denied error

any help would be appreciated!!

Zentyal 3.0.11 all up to date.
