We installed Zentyal 5.0 few months ago... in general all is working except for the mobile phones.
We have an AP connected through the Zentyal where we are connecting mobiles and laptops.
Laptops are working nice... but the smartphones are failing.
The WiFi link is not disconnected, but within seconds of connecting... Telegram does not work, the websites are not loading... if we disconnect from the WiFi and we reconnect... all is working few seconds and the same problems again. It happens with both iOS and Android phones.... Windows, Linux and Macs goes well.
Thinking that the Linksys WAP 54g was already crashing, we switched to another modern access point, but the same thing.
We've already been pissed off, we've looked at the Firewall, which doesn't have any outgoing rules set up... and for some reason... connections are discarded.

Spanish / Teléfono móvil + WiFi + Zentyal = Mejor ir por 4G

Instalamos Zentyal 5.0 hace algunos meses, y en general muy contentos excepto por los teléfonos móviles.
Tenemos un punto de acceso conectado a la Zentyal por el cual conectamos móviles y portátiles.
Los portátiles van de cine... pero los móviles no paran de quedarse tontos.
La WiFi no se desconecta, pero a los pocos segundos de conectar... Telegram no funciona, las web no cargan... desconectas del WiFi, vuelves a conectar... y otra vez igual. Ocurre tanto con móviles iOS como con Android... Windows, Linux y Macs van bien.
Pensando que el Linksys WAP 54g estaba ya chocheando, hemos cambiado a otro punto de acceso ya más moderno, pero lo mismo.
El asunto es que mosqueados ya, hemos mirado el Firewall, que no tiene ninguna regla saliente configurada... y por alguna razón... se están desechando conexiones.

Pega todas las líneas de error que te salen en el /var/log/zentyal/zentyal.log en el minuto que recargas la configuración.

Puedes ponerte como IP una falsa dentro del rango del GW y luego en el /etc/network/interfaces
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address IP Falsa dentro del rango
netmask 255.255.255.XXX
gateway GW real
up route add -net "IP Fija real" netmask 255.255.255.XXX gw "GW real" eth0
Con esto añadirás la IP a la interfaz cuando cargue la eth0.
Sino, puedes hacer lo contrario...
Añadir una IP y dejarla sin GW, y añadirla con "route add" en el interfaces
O... que el Proxmox se encargue de manejar la IP pública y le haces un NAT a la Zentyal... (aunque esto igual es chungo)

Se supone que el propio ejabberd es compatible con los websockets con este paquete instalado ejabberd-websockets
La verdad es que no lo he probado.
Hace años utilicé node-xmpp-bosh y creé mi propio cliente web para integrarlo en una intranet... pero ese código a saber donde está.
