Installation and Upgrades / MS Lync replacement
« on: April 14, 2013, 12:01:16 pm »
Hi All,

I am new to Zentyal and this is my first post in this forum.

We are a IT consultancy and we install Asterisk based VoIP platforms to our clients, we have been requested lately if we are able to offer something that can replace MS Lync, which as we all know integrates not only IM messaging but VoIP calls at the same time.

My question is:

by installing Zentyal on a dedicated server on a client network and enabling the Zarafa module would be then able to replace a Lync server and would be able to integrate with an "external" Asterisk server and not having to use the Asterisk module that is integrated within zentyal?

Many thanks for your support.

Installation and Upgrades / Unable to install 1.2 on Proxmox KVM
« on: September 07, 2009, 08:44:16 am »
Hi All,

I am totally new to eBox. I managed to install the older 1.0 version on a Proxmox server all worked fine. then i wanted to try out the newer 1.2 version.
The installation on the same Proxmox server went on and at the last reboot I got the following errors:

ata2.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2
ata2.00: cmd a0/00:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/a0 tag 0
ata2.00: status: { ERR }
E: Failed to mount the cdrom...
Installation failed. check contents of /tmp/ebox-installer.log.............

the ebox-installer.log file contains the following lines:

Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
E: Couldn't find package dahdi-modules-2.6.24-24-17filter

dahdi is a module that's used for Asterisk. This proxmox server has a couple of test Asterisk KVM installations, could that have something to do with that?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Installation and Upgrades / Re: 1.2 iso installer hangs on language screen
« on: September 07, 2009, 02:03:42 am »
Also,  I have been able to install the 1.2 iso in a Proxmox KVM virtual instance.  However, I want to load ebox on a dedicated physical server.

Hi, I been trying to install eBox 1.2 on Proxmox for the last couple of days now unsuccessfully. It installs ok but it gives me lots of Errors on first boot and then at the end it says something along the lines of "Box has not installed correctly".

Was there anything special that you have done? I have tried both IDE and SCSI drives of 100GB with 1GB RAM.

Cheers
